Over the past couple years, I've talked until I'm blue in the face about QSM and all of its problems.

It still isn't right. It's a character/font mismatch. SBL Hebrew doesn't have the double brackets it needs. Taamey Frank CLM does, but it doesn't handle other issues correctly.

Here is the way it is supposed to look, as you can see in Accordance:

Here is Logos with Hebrew set to SBL Hebrew:

The brackets display fine for me with SBL Hebrew:

So I'm wondering a few things. 1) Are you on a Mac? And 2) Have you changed your 'default resource font' from 'Default' to something else? 3) What version number of Logos are you running and what is the support info for the version of QSM?

I am on a Mac.

I haven't changed my default resource font from Default.

Logos version: 6.1.0.0015

QSM info: LLS:8.20.1 2014-05-27T21:47:48Z QSM.logos4

Thanks for the quick response. The problem arose as I was checking a reference for a fellow student in 1Q34bis 2+1:6-7 regarding the day of atonement.

I can't replicate this on Win7, with L 6.1.0.0015. Martin.

Vincent, I know this is minute, but technically there shouldn't be a space between the double brackets and the single brackets in 2+1:5, correct?

There's no extra space there, actually. It's that the glyphs for those square brackets in this font have really wide margins.

OK. There's probably some font-substitution code that is behaving differently on Mac vs. Windows. I'll put in a ticket to Dev on this, and I'll also see if the SBL font designer is willing to add the white brackets to the font the next time it goes under the knife.
