Hi,

I have the LG Optimus L90 d41510e. The unit is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It have 1 Gb of RAM and 3 Gb ROM. The device is not rooted. I haven't found a way to do it and it seems that there isn't one.

My data plan is very limited (1 Gb per month), and most of the time I have the data network inactive to restrict my data usage. I do have Internet with Wi-Fi at my home but my church doesn't have the capacity nor the means to provided Internet service with Wi-Fi.

For those reasons I want to download as many books and resources as I can in order to use the app offline. I have no concern for certain aspects of synchronization (by the way I will post another thread regarding this). I bought a 32 Gb card (the maximum supported by the phone), and my Logos library is not larger than 14Gb. For the phone it will be less because there are resources that can not be used with the app.

After installing the app I went to:

[System settings] [Apps] [Downloaded], selected the app [Bible] and under Storage I selected [Move to SD card]. After that the APP doesn't work and I get an error message that said: "Unfortunately, Bible has stopped". If I move the app back to the internal ROM. I'm able to use it again.

If I can not move the app to the SDcard, Can I at least move the books to the SDCard? Is there a way to do it?

Thanks in advance for your  support.

P.D.: Sorry I forgot to mention that one requirement to install and use the app is the presence of an SDCard. I was under the impression that that requirement was precisely for what I need.

Hi Edil,

Moving Faithlife apps (or books) to external SD cards is currently unsupported.

Hi Edil,

Although there is no current solution we have to solve your issue, thank you for your excellent post.

If every forum post included the detailed device and reproduction information that you have it would really benefit our ability to more quickly solve customer issues (although not in this case, unfortunately).  It often takes days of back-and-forth forum responses to obtain the information you shared in the first paragraph of your post.

If it helps, here are some search results of past posts related to SD card issues:

Kevin Byford:

Hi Edil,

Moving Faithlife apps (or books) to external SD cards is currently unsupported.

I just bought a new Android 4.4.2 phone on Tuesday.  I installed Logos from the Play store and installed a few books.  Things worked great.

I then installed a 32 GB SD and, not knowing any better, used the App manager to migrate the data to the SD.  Logos complained that the data was offline.  I solved this by RemovIng each resource and then downloading again.  I downloaded my entire Pillar and NIGTC sets with no problem.  Based on the storage usage reported by Android I believe the resources are on the SD.

I have been unable to complete a download of a course.  The download runs for a while and then crashes the system.  I was forced to reboot my phone in order to cancel the download and subsequent crashing.

So I can't download a course, but otherwise, the SD seems to be working for me.

I have been to many theological conferences, most notably ETS, where wifi isnt available. After the second time this happened, I solved it by bringing an old piece of technology called a laptop, with a hard drive, with all of the resources on my computer. That way, when luddites plan these conferences, I can still use Logos.

I have it running on sd as well on my lollipop samsing s4. The only issue I see is it is always asking me for credentials and I am wondering if that is due to the app being on the sdcard or the cleanmaster app wiping them.
