It's now possible to port any Android APK to ChromeOS. PLEASE!

I did

Of course there are a lot of ideas there with tons of votes that have never been done. So I don't expect much out of this.

It looks like this wouldn't take anyone a lot of time or effort. I'm no programmer but it seems so easily doable and shouldn't take but a short time.

You may be correct but it takes a *lot* of time and effort to support new platforms even if things should automagically work.  I tried it and the app crashed soon after.

You guys did a prepub for the Windows App store. Maybe one for this. I'd be willing to pony up more for ChromeOS than for Windows App Store for sure.

I'm not the one that can make that decision, so please vote it up on UserVoice.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it works for apps that use native code, like ours do.

Us non programers (and even occasionally programers) think that computers are magic if Y says it works this way it must why are you not doing it. I love the idea of Logos being on every platform and all things being equal on all APPS... Unfortunately almost all the amazing announcements have major caveats. And interchanging programs on platforms is about as easy as playing a DVD in your CD player... It really looks like it should be easy. But unless compatibility is built in it is not going to work without major upgrades. The mechanisms that read a blue ray reads everything down to a CD, but for the CD player to play blue rays the laser reader needs replacing plus other upgrades. Nothing is ever as simple as it sounds.

It looks like the Android-on-Chrome runtime works MUCH better than it used to work, but Dave's right, it appears they don't support C/C++ code in apps yet. When I last tried this, the app didn't even start up. Now I can open the app, but it crashes when viewing anything that displays a Logos resource (read view, notes, etc). Hopefully Google improves this soon!
