Hello,

I have a copy of the Sword Study Bible (Print) it has the words of God in red in the Old Testament. I would like my copy of the KJV in Logo 6 to have this also.

This there an easy to do this without having to highlight easy verse manually?

I'm not sure if I can use visual filters for this or not.

Harrison,

You can apply a visual filter by using the labeled speaker data. See my screenshot for how to do this. You can add this filter to the KJV or all of the Bibles in your library that have this labeled data type. Hope this helps.

Hi Michael,

Thanks. I'm having one problem. Not all words are getting highlighted. The word "abundantly" is not highlighted.

It appears that this search will only find and highlight the words that are tagged directly with reverse interlinear data. There are some words that are added to an English translation that do not have a direct parallel in the Hebrew text that is available through the reverse interlinear. Notice in my screenshot that we can see there is no data for this word in the RI Ribbon that is shown below in the KJV RI. Notice that this same verse in the LEB does not have highlighting for the word "with." This word is lacking RI data tagging for the LEB. If this really bothers you aesthetically, you can always add the same highlight to the individual words using the highlighter palette. It is not perfect, but this sure beats highlighting every verse manually! =)

Thanks. I was thinking that was problem.

I wish they had the visual filter on the iPad.

This is a tagging error as 'abundantly' is derived from the Hebrew H8317. I've submitted the error as a Typo.

Hmm... for some reason this doesn't work for me with the ESV. I tried a filter for both Old and New testament with God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the Angel of the Lord and it didn't work for any of them, then I tried the same with a separate filter for Old and New and still got nothing. The filter actually doesn't even show in the drop down menu for ESV filters.

"speaker" in your filter definition needs a capital "S"

An alternate is adding proximity searches to visual filter:

Shared "{Speaker <Person God>}" visual filter with Faithlife Group "Logos Visual Filters", which uses palette "Hebrew Morphology - Names"

can we do something that will also highlight the words for the Angel of the LORD?

It worked great for the words of God but not for the words of the Angel of the LORD. Is there a way to do that?

You could create an elaborate visual filter similar to the one KS4J demoed above, or make a simple one and ignore the gaps produced by the RI. This is what I use.
