A12 is not downloading new purchases. This is very frustrating. I paid for the new Tyndale commentaries and cannot even view them because they will NOT download. Can anyone help? I was told that A12 would solve this.
Thanks
Tom
Hi Tom,
It is the nature of ALPHA software to not work right on every system, so hang in there.
If you want help, please start by telling us what steps you took to download the books? What was the specific results? Was there a crash? Did you try and use any of the standard commands to update? What did you see happen? If you went through a procedure to download, give us the details then post a log file.
I cannot seem to get my A12 (or A11) to sync with the Logos server (I guess that is how to say it).
I have typed "Update Now" in the command line as well as "Sync Now" - the blue logos icon does not appear in the top menu bar
I manually updated to A12. Very pleased with it... but cannot get it to connect to Logos.
It is not crashing, so I don't have a log. I must have some file that is not working... a corrupt file or something. But, I do not know how to find that or what do with it if I found it.

Ross, it is easier to work through solutions if you start your own thread rather than jump in on another thread. Please consider reposting in a new thread so someone can effectively help both you and Tom.
I agree that it is the nature of ALPHA software. The problem is that I can't use my books at this time and I really need to. Every time that I open Logos for Mac, the blue icon comes on and says it is downloading then just disappears. It has not been downloading anything for me since Alpha 9. I have had to manually download 11 and 12. Didn't even know there was a 10 because I was thinking it was updating automatically. I tried the commands you gave me in the command line and nothing works. These are the only logs I can find.

Instructions for the logs you need to post are found in the first link in my signature. There is also a video to show you how to find and post them.

Joe,
Thanks so much. Here is my report.

Thanks. I am sure the developers will dig into this and let you know if they find a solution.
Tom,
Someone else had a similar issue and reported it. I've fixed the bug in the code but it won't be released until the next alpha.
There appears to be an invalid Clause Visualizer resource (*.lbxclv) file somewhere on your system. The fix is to temporarily move it out of the way so that the rest of your library indexing can complete.
If you enable logging, it will be much easier to track down which file is causing the problem. See the FAQ link in my signature for information on the video tutorial that Joe Miller put together for reporting bugs in the forums. Once you've set up your nlog.config, re-run the app and post your logs in this thread and I (or one of the other devs) will be able to assist you to get up and running.

Here's what I posted in another thread that may fix the issue:
John, it would appear that there is a bad clause visualizer resource on your system. I've updated the code for the next alpha so that this type of issue doesn't crash the indexer.
For now, you can systematically remove any .lbxclv files in /Users/<your_user_id>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<some_other_id>/ResourceManager/Resources and restart your L4 to get the indexer working again. You can then "update resources" from the command bar to get the latest versions of these resources back.
I removed those files and it reindexed my system and the logos icon stays up now but it still doesn't download. It stays on 0% of 1.90 GB forever. Here is my new log.

Did I mention trying to delete the ResourceManager.db file and restarting? That should get downloading going again.
"Did I mention?????"... one of the most important things to solve my problem????
Just kidding.
Thanks. Problem solved.
Thank you so much.
I am on A14 and having the same problem - 5 hours later I'm still at 0% on the download. But I have not been able to locate the ResourceManager.db file. I would have thought it would be in library/application support/ but it is not there. Any suggestions?
Try looking in /Users/<your_user_id>/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<some_other_user_id>/ResourceManager.
In Finder, /Users/<your_user_id> is usually listed in "PLACES" after Desktop and Applications as simply your user id and has the Home icon next to it. There should be a Library folder underneath that.
