See here:  http://www.logos.com/4/faq  Bottom of the page, last question, they give you the download link for the core engine only.

That link text looks correct but if you click on it it takes you just to the main Logos 4 page. Here's the correct link to the faq:

http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe is the setup file you need.

The Technical FAQs have:

Q: Will Logos 4 work on my netbook?

A: Logos 4 will run on a netbook with the minimum system requirements above. To get the most out of Logos 4, we highly recommend installing on a computer that meets or exceeds the recommended system requirements.

The minimum specs are:

  • Pentium 4
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Windows XP SP3
  • DVD drive
  • 12 GB hard drive space on local drive (May require additional space depending on your library).
  • 1024X600 Display
  • 128 MB DirectX 9 graphics device
  • Internet connection required for activation

You are correct, I found myself viewing the ubiquitous "Hi, I'm Scott..." video.

Gracias to you as well.,

You can install using Method 3 at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers The "working installation" would be L3 and you would be scanning the L3 resource folder. By setting Automatically Download Updates = NO you can ignore downloads whilst you perform your evaluation.
