Clippings:
· Add the ability to rearrange clippings by dragging
· Add the feature to drag clippings from one clipping file over into another
Search Library: What you see after doing a word search in your library (or collection) is a daunting list of pages and pages of information. I usually don't get past the first page, so if there's something on page 20 I need, I'll probably never know about it...
· Allow user to collapse a book's worth of results, so that they can actually, potentially see all the books that returned results on page (bring the information to them, instead of them going through pages to find it).
· And allow user to specify if the default setting will be to return results with books expanded or collapsed
· Break down the search results into different collapsible categories like a passage search (even if the categories are determined by "type" of book - like "arranging by type" in the library)
Handouts: Great idea, but not very practical or easy to use...
· Allow drag and drop of open resources into an open handout
· Allow simple layout design by allowing user to drag items on the handout into a layout (and size) they want
· Allow user to specify number of sheets they want
I have to agree with these suggestions. They make sense to me and I would like to see them implemented also.
Another suggestion, I forgot to mention, is regarding layouts. I hope these don't come across as rude or unappreciative, I love my Logos software, these are just frank suggestions of simple ways that it would become more useful for me as a user...thank you.
Layouts: I never use my preset layouts, because they always take me away from my study...

I have to disagree, there are generic layouts (6 grey layouts at the bottom of the layout page) that will accomplish that, but in my workflow the whole purpose of saved layouts is not only to put my workspace in a particular format, but also to open the books associated (i.e. saved) to that layout, and open them to the place where I last saved the layout. For instance, I have 3 saved layouts (Mark, 2 Timothy and Isaiah) where the window/tab format is the same, but they open different books/bibles/resources based on what I am studying.
Interesting...Okay, I can see where you're coming from. My layouts are more like "bible study layout" and "reading plan layout" (layouts designed for different TYPES of study, not for specific books) but you make a very good point, I'm sure many people use their layouts the same way you do.
How about adding a check-box feature or something? Like "Save current books with layout" and you could check it on or off? Then both methods of using layouts would be possible, and you and I would have twice the flexibility. :)
Thanks for your thoughts, God bless

Agree with all three. Was just thinking about "collapse book titles" this last Saturday while looking for illustrations for my sermon.
Handouts---grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Great idea. but . . . .
Not with you on the Layout. MAYBE you could have the function to save generic layout shapes (add to the ones that logos provides). But I save layouts for resources and layout "shape". But resources are essential.

Looks like I'm not getting alot of love on the "layouts" suggestion (i'd still like to see the flexibility to save it as a RESOURCE layout (I.E. the way it works now), OR a STUDY TYPE layout (like the gray presets)), but I think everyone could probably agree on having collapsible and categorized library searches (please add this as an update!)...it's good to hear people's feedback, keep it coming!
Does anyone else have suggestions that would make the work flow easier for you? Share your thoughts...
(PS - Noobie question, but is there a way to add a post WITHOUT replying to a previous post? or is that the way it's supposed to work?)

If you want to make sure people know what specific comment you are replying to, then reply to a specific post and quote that part of the post. To do that, you click "reply", and then either highlight that portion of the post and click "quote" or just click "quote" and the whole post will be copied.
HOWEVER, if you don't want to mess with that, click "quick reply" and it opens a dialogue box that allows you to type and post, without the option to reply to a specific post.
Looks like you essentially did that with this post of yours that I am replying to . . . (even if you just hit "reply" and did not quote, the net is the same)
