Hi all and greetings from South Africa.
I have a need to share ideas and interpretations with fellow pastors and scholars of the Bible. I am from Reformed tradition and really need to find guidance on interpretation of some Bible passages and so on ... general discussions, and so on.
For example ...
We read in Jeremiah 29:11 the following: "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." New Living Translation (Je 29:11).
I know many Christians who have this bible verse in their homes and so on. Question: Is this promise from God still applicable to us or was it just for the people in the time of Jeremiah? Does the same go for all the other promises in the Bible?
This is what I need to talk and exchange interpretations and so on.
I really hope there is such a forum.
Thank you & God bless.
