I just installed a 256Gig Crucial SSD in my Macbook Pro 2.4GHz with 6 Gig of Ram.

Running Logos 4 in Fusion Win XP. 3 gig Ram allocated to XP.

Even when L4 is indexing, the computer (both Mac side and XP side) experiences NO slow down whatsoever. Before the SSD, it was barely usable when indexing was happening.

BTW, info window showup speed shows only marginal improvements only.

I have a 250GB solid state drive on my laptop. On the Windows 7 Windows Experience Index (like Vista's) it measures a 6.7!  I never even know it's indexing.  they are definitely the way to go.  They are still more expensive in dollar per gigabyte, but the advantages are many.

I have a 250GB SSD on my laptop, too.  I totally agree. Yes
