I ran a word count  search on the book of Romans on a new Solid state hard drive macbook and it took over 5 minutes to generate the report. Is that normal? Is that the right amount of time?

The first time you generate a Concordance on a resource it takes a long time, especially for reverse-interlinear Bibles because they have a lot of data. But Logos will cache that data, so if you were to repeat it for another book of the Bible in the same resource, it will be almost instant.

When I close Logos and reopen, the process begins again.  Is there a way to "save" the generating process or will it start from scratch every time?

The last ten* concordances that have completed should be saved for future use. If that's not happening, something's wrong.

* I think it's ten. If it's not, the principle remains.

A book should not regenerate provided you allow it to complete! Does this happen for every book you choose as a concordance?

We don't save the progress of generating a concordance. If you close Logos while a concordance is still generating, when you reopen the app and open concordance the generating process will start over.

Mark where can I find the 10 last Concordance Isues? If I open Concordance I just can see the last one.

Dit I understand it right that there is no Way to save the Concordance for a Book forever?

It's not they are available to choose from in the tool - the last ten opened are cached so will open more quickly next time

It could be a nice feature to have a "Recent books" dropdown in the Concordance tool.

That is correct - if it is not in the cache it will need to be rebuilt

I found a little help to save Concordance by saving it as Layout.

1. Concordance in Babylonien Talmud

2. Concordance in NA 28

both saved als Layout. Any Time I klick on the Layout the Concordance is there

Anyway would be great to have something like "save as Passage List" for the Concordance.

My guess is that this will only be the case unless you generate Concordance views on 10 other resources.

Then these would need to refresh as they would no longer be in the cache.

1. Set to Biblical Entity

2. Under Kind select the kind of place you wish to see

3. Your options for order are count or alphabetically. Because the same city can appear in several chronological positions, that would defeat the purpose of a concordance. If, however, we had the ability to export detail which we do not, we would be able to sort by reference and make manual refinements to achieve what you are requesting.
