What is it?

Synopsis of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles is an interactive that brings together accounts of the same events recounted in Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, and some of the Psalms.

How does it work?

Open the synopsis interactive, choose your translation, select the books you want to compare (Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, and the Psalms), and explore parallel pericopes in these books. Hover over any of the words within the interactive, and you'll find that the same words from parallel accounts are highlighted for comparison.

Where can I learn more?

Not sure if this is what I am supposed to be seeing, but I get no actual text in the synopsis (just verses references). How do I display the text for each verse for comparison? I am on Mac OS X (10.11).

Change the option under "sort"

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Forgive the question. I ask because it isn't expanded. But have you clicked the drop down arrow?

That worked. It isn't very intuitive (to me). Why show the list of verses under the unexpanded topic?

You want to click the little triangle next to the pericope title or the title itself to expand out the text.

You aren't alone in that intuition. Look for a change in future updates.

Finally signed up for Logos Now. :)

This Synopsis tool is useful but doesn't seem as polished as the other new interactive tools in Logos Now.

At the very least, I would suggest providing 3 "View" options:

1) All Collapsed - just the black section headings without individual verses listed.

2) Verses Listed - the default setting now.

3) Verses Expanded - show the bible text for all the verses.

Peter
