What is it?

Conduct detailed searches in the book of Proverbs. We've analyzed every proverb within Proverbs and tagged them according to Type and Form. These tags can be combined with countless search options. For instance, search all the proverbs for where a father offers advice. You can even find where God—as a father—offers advice to his children.

How does it work?

Use the Type and Form categories present within the Proverbs Explorer to conduct detailed searches of the Psalms. Some example searches are listed below (clicking on the links will execute the search in your software):

Change = to ~. The equal sign will find places where only simile is a tag of that text.

Thanks. Where is all of this documented, by the way? There has to be an easier way to make these syntax issues readily available to users.

Here is one place where you can find help with a host of the searches. You can also ask questions here and both users and employees will answer. Also, you can check the Logos Help resource within the software. If you click on this link, Logos will open to the Advanced searching section where there is a distinction between the ~ and = commands.

Feel free to follow up with any questions. I'm happy to help!

This fact and many others will appear in the updated Advanced Searching article in the on-board Logos Help resource. That article is now written and working its way through the publication and updating process now.
