Greetings,

I am looking at a 480 gb ssd by intel...is it really worth the extra money to go with the 730 series instead of the 535 series?  I have the Intel 240 gig 330 series that works fine, just looking for more space...

Thanks in advance for the advice,

danp

Usually, the NAND of the expensive series is the pick of the "crop" and you (should) get a longer warranty because of the better quality. But the 5 yr warranty on the 535 shows it has more than adequate reliability, and the slightly slower sequential write speed shows Intel's conservative approach to this. The 730 series appears to be aimed at professionals.

Thanks Dave,

I appreciate the answer!  129 dollars is much better than 219, that and I am far from professional!
