As much as I would love to order Pre-Pub the large ticket items such as the Zond. Collection, I am limited by the time when my funds are released.  Is there a way we could have a payment plan option for pre-pubs as well.  Students such as myself are able to be much more flexible in our ordering that way.  I will again take this time to thank you for that plan option, and the fact that you deduct the monthly charge when we pay off the balance.

In Christ,

Dave

I second this. Logos and Zondervan just lost an order because I could not pay for the new collection monthly.

This is why I had to pick and choose. Only getting a few.

For me, if payment plan was available I would have considered it, but its way out of reach of my normal budget  (3 months salary for the 87 book set),..

So I guess unless God provides the funds for an outright purchase, that Zondervan have lost another sale here, also..

i would hope that payment plans, at least on very large pre-pub orders, would be in order.  Likewise, i cannot to the whole amount of the Z package by June.  That is a major, major, amount.

I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

I would definitely change my 40% off prepub Zondervan order to the whole package if a good payment plan were available.

I am trying to rationalize spending about $250 with Zondervan, all in one shot, by April (and I could wind up spending less).  With a spending plan, I might quadruple that.  Without it, I will certainly not spend more for a few years, getting by with Pradis (cross my fingers!).  I might also see if they offer bundles or specials on their products in the future.  Doesn't sound like they have changed their marketing methods.  Not banking on that, but that is all I can do.

I agree ... I was about to purchase but I noticed there was no option for payment plan, and I canceled my order. Logos, would you consider a payment plan for this pre-pub?

I concur. Please seriously consider a "limited" payment plan. Since we essentially have until the end of June to order, (for those who own Pradis resources), maybe allow anyone who places their order before a certain date, maybe April 5th (the estimated ship date), the option of breaking the payment into three or better yet, four, equal payments. It seems to me that would be in Logos' best interest from potential increased sales and have minimum adverse impact on their cash flow since some people would be able to make the purchase a few months earlier instead of saving up and buying what they can at the end of June.

I know from a personal standpoint it would make a significant difference in my buying decision, as the decision for me is not what I "would" pay for some of the Zondervan offerings (per other threads), but what I "can" pay right now (vs. over a couple months) given my month-to-month financial status.

Just a thought. Thanks for (hopefully) considering it, Logos, and trying to make it work, if possible.

Agreed!

Logos has been rolling out  a lot of big ticket items in the last 3 months.

What we as customers would like to buy and what we can afford are not the same. Crying

This gets my vote as well.  There are some seriously expensive pre-pub iems of late, and I'd be more willing to consider them if I didn't have to pay in one big chunck.

I'm surprised that no one from  Logos has graced us with a reply.

The lack of a payment plan recently led me to cancel 85% of my pre-pub orders in order to purchase a new laptop.

Don't be, that would be a top management decision, and Bob and Dan don't reply to every question that is asked. If you really want an answer, call Logos and ask to speak to someone about the subject.

I may be wrong, but I think you can call a sales person at Logos and order pre-pubs on a payment plan.

Frank, I tried, when I was on the phone to get the discount on the "Z" pre-pub, but no success.  It was explained to me that the pre-pubs are not put on a payment plan, because the funds are needed to get it live.

This has been brought up a few times, and somewhere on here, Dan Pritchett (I think) has a reasoned answer to the query.  Though at the moment I can't find it, even with Google.

As I recall it is close to what David mentions, Logos needs the money to pay for the production of the books.

He also mentioned this in the recent thread concerning the release of EBC. He said that a payment plan for pre-pubs would require extensive re-programming and all programmers were tied up with more important projects (i.e., adding the missing features to L4 and the Mac version).
