I would like to create a collection of books regarding Calvin. Can someone show me a string that would work? Thanks

I don't have too much on Calvin in my library, but just typing in "Calvin" into the "Start With" box netted me everything that I own that I would put into such a collection.  Are you looking for something a bit fancier?

Or "author:calvin" for books written by him?

Or "author:calvin" for books written by him?

or  subject:calvin for books written about him, but not by him

Matt nailed it for you. Timothy's solution might work, but it's too broad, as it would also pick up books published by Calvin Press, if those ever were to occur in the Logos library, or which mention Calvinism or Calvinist in their descriptions but are not chiefly about Calvin.

There's not much related to Calvin in the base packages except for Calvin's Institutes. But your question is timely. Did you know that the Calvin 500 Collection (108 volumes by or about Calvin, in honor of his 500th anniversary last year) is shipping this Friday? It's still in pre-pub for two more days, so you could get it for $379.95 (after Friday it looks like it will jump up to the SRP $2199.95 since there is no "Logos Sale Price" listed).

See the Logos blog post about it too.

Sale price is $999. Prepub was definitely a good deal. I jumped on it early and only needed the upgrade, so it was $249. It certainly pays to subscribe to the Prepub RSS feed.

Yup, I have it coming in to me on Google Reader which I check every day.
