This is a case where a verse appears in either of 2 positions. The summary shows correctly a 100% difference. However, the mouse over detail does not.
The NAB mucks that up because it places 11:19-23 after 12:6. But I'm not sure what you expect as a text comparison is not performed in other cases, despite what the Help says or implies:-
4. Hover the mouse cursor over a vertical bar to display a text comparison for that verse.Logos Research Systems, I. (2009; 2009). Logos 4 Help. Logos Research Systems, Inc.; Bellingham, WA.

Precisely the reason I used it as a test case ... although I might object to the technical term "muck" [:)]

I expect consistent behavior. I would expect the cursor to be the same as the compare text because that is clearly what the maximum is based on ... and the difference river is based on. To get 100% difference, the verse was compared against an empty verse slot.
I've been concentrating on multiple verse mappings in the beta testing because it has not appeared as if anyone else is. As one of my common configurations has the NRSV, NAB, and Tanakh it's not hard to find test cases.
From L3 days I've never understood what this "river" was supposed to convey - and mucking around experimenting for the last hour or so hasn't furthered that understanding[:)] But I can conclude that it doesn't work the same way as L3 in this case! That inconsistency could be considered to override yours, because it compares verse by verse irrespective of its position relative to the base text and the meaningless 100% differences are eliminated. And L3's "text comparison" tool works the same way.
The Version River should be showing the variance based on differences in word usage, but it appears to be taking into account the placement of the verse, unlike the quick comparison, and unlike LDLS 3. I'll check on this and update the thread when I have more information.

I wish you'd stop saying Thanks, Melissa because I like to say thanks, Melissa[:D]
well, she said she'd get back to me ... is a decade patience enough?
