SHotchkiss:

Did it take a while for you to get the free book?

It appeared in about 2-3 minutes.

Did your e-mail link appear immediately??

I have waited ~30 min. + no e-mail.  I did indeed click the last blue button.

Haven't checked my email, but the book showed up in my library in a couple of minutes.

Including the one accepting/rejecting the suggested offer?

After deciding which book you want, did you scroll to the bottom of the page and claim your book? It took me to the shopping cart with a coupon code making it free.

Thank you Rick + Jack.

I did the survey again, pushed the 'claim' button this time...then it timed out.

Once more, I went thru the survey + now own Lexham Bible Guide Ge. 1-11.

Thanks for the free book. However your recommendation logic might be broken.

EG it might recommend a base package that you already own. For me, it recommended Reformed Diamond. Something I already own.

Thanks for confirming. I wonder if it was a server issue at the time. It failed in both browsers, so it made me curious. I used my iPhone several hours later.

Thank you for pointing this out.  I'm very pleased that FaithLife is doing this survey; it looks like they're researching some of the customer preferences that have been discussed on the forums.  I also very much appreciate the free resource.  The recommended package is likely the next one that I'll buy - it's certainly the one I've been looking at - but this month simply isn't the right time.  Still, the targeting was about right for me.

They recommended one of the Verbum Cloud products to me, even though I indicated my preference to own rather than to subscribe. I will not be making use of their recommendation!

DAL, they recommended diamond for me. Ta da!   No late-bronze for me!

I had to take the survey anonymously in order to fake my answers .... they wouldn't let me 'just say no'. I selected Moulton, since I already have it.

I have the worst horror story ... they made me choose Catholic rather than the far more accurate Orthodox-Catholic or the most precise Orthodox-Catholic-High(Anglican-Lutheran). What could possibly be worse than being asked to lie about your denominational preference?

Well thinking about it maybe not being able to identify my resource preference as "Orthodox-Catholic-High(Anglican-Lutheran) in theological dialogue with (Buddhism-Sufism-Judaism- and a wee bit of Hinduism)" ...

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Good for you! If they had recommended an Orthodox BP I  probably would've bought it, at least a starter package;  but for some reason I just don't find them appealing.  I guess someone would really have to sell me on why I should buy at least the starter Orthodox BP :) For now I'm good.
