Hi - I could really use some help in learning to use Logos 6 more effectively in Bible Study/Sermon prep for expository preaching. With the number of tools and content available (Gold Pkg) I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and really would like to develop a streamlined approach. If someone could provide some practical insight (i.e. what do you do first, what do you do next) I would very much appreciate it.

Welcome Big Smile

Thankful God answers prayer.  Personally have a lot more to learn about teaching/preaching.

Thankful for pastoral advice to keep treasuring God's Word along with reading other resources.  For learning Logos 6, suggest 30 Day Training => https://www.logos.com/30-day-training Logos tends to perform faster with fewer items open & knowing how to open more items quickly as desired.

Thankful for Logos 6 feature that allows chapter and verse to be hidden.  Verse numbers were not in the original manuscripts (added later for concordance referencing).

Thankful for Visual Filter Highlighting, which can combine hundreds of search results for simultaneous display so can "see" range of Greek verbal expression in English, Greek, and Spanish resources (with appropriate tagging):

Matthew 6:9-13 has seven verbs in the imperative mood.

Thankful for Louw-Nida visual filters that can be enabled for discourse analysis:

Logos wiki has => https://wiki.logos.com/Extended_Tips_for_Highlighting_and_Visual_Filters#Examples_of_visual_filters

Thankful for Logos Guides (albeit much to read):

Guide tip is closing sections, which allows Guide to open faster.  Can open section(s) as desired.

Keep Smiling Smile
