Very nice, thank you. FWIW, a more interactive version is available at http://dare.ht.lu.se/

Wow. Lightning fast. 11 real zoom levels. Very detailed. The entire Roman world. Impressive!

Others to check out, based on the same or similar datasets, some of these with layers:

I'm not sure if licensing issues would allow Faithlife to integrate the maps and data they are using into their software, but at least some of these websites reflect the type of flexibility, detail, data, and speed I'd love to see in the Faithlife Atlas tool.

I agree that is amazingly fast and I love that it becomes a topographical map as you zoom in.

This would be amazing if it could be integrated into Logos.

Many thanks to both Veli and Fr. Devin.

Ok, FL, how about links from within Logos, as there are to Perseus and Wikipediait?

Sent this out to those in our fellowship which I mentor in Logos . . . may be of help to you . . .

Logos Friends

If you enjoy maps, here’s a link to a digital map of the Greek/Roman World.

 http://pelagios.dme.ait.ac.at/maps/greco-roman/

 And, here’s a tip . . .

You can place your mouse cursor over the “page” indicator in the address . . .

Drag that to your Resources Shortcuts Bar in Logos . . .

And, happy days, you can then jump to this map when it fits with your study!

That's phenomenal, Veli. I hope that the techs at Faithlife are looking at this carefully.

Thanks for all the great links! That has been my major complaint or frustration with Logos software: the maps. I still want to be able to type in a location (or locations) on a map and it (they) appears on the map with all the different layers of information concerning the place. I want to be able to create a map with the places that are specific to my weekly Bible study that I am teaching. A girl can dream, can't she?!

Good tip Jerry,  You can also drag the shortcut to a favourties folder in Logos as well if you shortcut bar is getting cluttered.  I have created a folder there for online map sites.
