I am trying to decide between 2 New Testament Theologies. Thielman's "Theology of the New Testament" or I.H. Marshall's "New Testament Theology." They are both good books and I am interested in a canonical overview which both have. The question is what are strengths and weaknesses of each book. Also, if you had to choose between the two which one would you choose or recommend and why.
Thanks
I personally like I Howard Marshall a lot - and even though I already owned his NT Theology in paper, I took advantage of the March Madness discount and bought the Logos version for $15 which is a steal. So, should you decide to go with him, now is the time.
Just in case you're interested in learning about Thielman's book, he reads it in a free 14-hours audio course at https://www.biblicaltraining.org/new-testament-theology/frank-thielman (that may sell you for his book - or against it), but I would argue you can thus have his NT Theology for free and buy Marshall....
Running Logos 9 latest (beta) version on Win 10
Thanks for the link to the audio book NB.Mick.
