Just spotted this on sale. Not in the monthly sale and not advertised on the home page. Others may have missed too.

I had the hardcover books. The pictures were really good.
How are the pictures in the digitized version?
Thanks for pointing that out. I have been waiting for a deal on this set forever and would have missed it! Downloading now :)

The pictures are very good, clear, and may be easily exported.
This a great resource at a great price.
Are the pictures indexed properly?

Can you clarify what you mean? The pictures appear in the correct places.
Other than the pictures this is what Carson says about this set:
"The Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary is a four-volume work edited by Clinton E. Arnold (2002, £23.99 per vol., £95.99 for the set/$39.99 per vol., $159.99 for the set). It is sometimes worth skimming in conjunction with commentaries on the text at hand, but the best of the major commentaries usually include all the relevant background materials anyway. To use this four-volume set by itself is unwise: it might encourage the unwary reader to think that the background is the foreground, with the result that what the text actually says quietly dissolves from view."
Sorry, the mobile app doesn't give me the footnotes, but you can read it in his Commentary Survey book.

I see the volumes are all available individually which I don't believe they were before

Wonder how long this sale will last?
From the Old Testament Survey Commentary, "This wonderful resource (for reasons of disclosure, I should mention that I did Proverbs) speaks exclusively about the cultural background of the various Old Testament books. Beautifully illustrated, the commentary comes in five volumes. The contributors are experts in the Old Testament and the ancient Near East and are all evangelicals."Tremper Longman III, Old Testament Commentary Survey, Fifth Edition. (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic, 2013), 17.
I have this set and have found it useful at times in conjunction with the ivp background but as mentioned earlier I'd never use it alone
Some of you may not be as lucky as I am: if sold separately my price would be 71 and change. Bu thanks to Logos, I get the exclusive price of 159.99!
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.
Could you put up a sample for us to look at? Thanks.
What a deal!
Total value if sold separately: $89.95

Purchase the titles you don't have individually. There's only a $2 difference between buying them separately versus the bundle.
Here's a brief screenshot showing both OT and NT volumes:
Uh? What are you talking about?

Presumably he owns either the OT or NT set, and being a Zondervan title this doesn't have Dynamic pricing. However you buy the books (OT/NT/Complete/Individual), it's all on offer so nobody is missing out too much, provided they check the prices before buying any bundles. But yes, it does look a bit silly.
Can anyone tell me how this compares to the IVP Background commentaries?
EDIT: found a previous discussion here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/48577.aspx - still interested to hear new thoughts on it, though.
For those who need to purchase the OT/NT set separately, the links are here:

I never imagined these would go on sale and bought the print copies. I am tempted to buy them here and give the print copies overseas to a missionary now. Still not sure what some are saying here regarding costs.
Paul Caneparo:Just spotted this on sale.
Thanks, for pointing this out. I even have had this on my wish list and was not notified. (?)
I've been wanting this for a long time. At this price it's a no brainer.
I use the IVP Bible Background Commentary frequently and I'm hoping/trusting this one gives a bit more depth and will complement that set well. Whenever possible I like to have at least two reputable sources for a topic or area of research. (Plus I like pretty pictures.)
