I've reported a number of issues with the Verbum packages on Display error or dynamic pricing error?

There is the same issue for me with regards to the Catechism as well (and perhaps for other resources, but that one jumped out because I definitely know I own that one).

Since the Verbum page isn't even up yet, I imagine it will get worked out in due time.

Another potential issue:

I have a Verbum Now subscription. When I look at the prices for the Verbum packages, it shows an asterisk rather than a price for the "Verbum 7 feature set". However, if I look at the price for the package of the standard Logos base packages, it shows a charge for those features. I assume that the features are the same for both and thus the discount should apply in either direction—i.e. if someone with a Logos Now membership wants to buy a Verbum 7 base package or if someone with a Verbum Now membership wants to buy a Logos 7 base package.

It doesn't affect me because I would only be buying a Verbum 7 package, but I'm sure there are some out there who might cross denominational boundaries with their library.

I have the opposite issue. I would have to pay 150+ for things that are almost all included with Logos Now if I bought Verbum.

Ok $112 not $150, but having two different almost identical products (Verbum Now and Logos Now) with no discount between them is fair, but makes purchasing decisions difficult.

If you add it to the cart, it actually adds two items and you can then delete the Verbum Full Feature Set from the cart.

It's only showing up in my cart as one item.

Steve,

Do you have verbum now? If so, only one item will go into the cart.

That's it.  I'm now seeing how this is working.  It's taking me a little while to figure out what is being displayed, etc.

One other thing that I'm still confused about ... I think fgh and SineNomine brought it up yesterday in this thread but I don't recall seeing a reply:

When I select "New to you" I am seeing things on the list that I own already.  Catechism of the Catholic Church is one of them.  Papal encyclicals I believe is another.  This is causing me to still suspect the dynamic pricing may not be correct.

Thoughts?

Another minor point. On the Verbum Libraries page, it shows Portfolio as having fewer resources than Diamond (1339 vs. 1705). I am guessing that is not correct.

Yes, I noticed the issue with some "new to you" titles being things I already own. I'm not sure if that effects dynamic pricing or not, but I'm holding on buying anything until it gets straightened out.

Glenn and I have posted replies there.

For Verbum Now customers, we generally assume that won't be buying the Verbum Feature Sets and show you the price of the library only, and, when you click add to cart from the base package product page, we don't include the Feature Set. We make a similar assumption for Logos Now and Logos Feature Sets. Because there are (minor) differences between what's included in the Logos and Verbum versions of the Feature Sets and Now, we're not making this assumption across the two product lines. However, the differences are minor enough that most Verbum Now users probably don't need to purchase the Logos Feature Set (and vice versa). As has been mentioned, you can simply remove the Feature Set from the cart if you're not interested in purchasing it. (We may need to re-think our assumptions here. I'll ask about this.)

This has been fixed. Thanks.

See our replies in the other thread. Aside from the issue with the Catechism, which we're working on, dynamic pricing isn't affected. (And, even there, it's very minor.)

Hi,

I upgraded to Verbum Diamond based on a dynamic price of $1,018.35.  After the upgrade, I went back to the upgrade to Diamond webpage, and the dynamic pricing now shows a price of $3,000 to upgrade.  It does show I have all the resources, but with the incorrect upgrade price of $3,000, I'm also wondering about the upgrade price I actually paid of $1,018.35.

Anyone else notice anything funny like that?

Thanks,

Mike

You will notice that you are unable to add it to your cart because the button is grayed out. That is the way the website has always displayed Base Packages. Maybe that can be changed in a future website upgrade.

Hi Lynden,

Thanks - I do see that now.  I was more concerned that the price is showing at $3,000 and not $0, since I already own it.  If the price could be wrong for someone who owns it, can I be sure that the dynamic price I actually paid was displaying correctly?

On some of the screens, when you own a product, it simply displays the list price. Sounds like what's happening here. I don't think it's anything to worry about, as the webpage has always worked that way, at least on some pages.

When you own a package, the buy button greys out, and the price returns back to the normal (correct) price. That's been standard behaviour for years.

I was not aware of that when I subscribed to Logos Now, and find it a bit surprising. What are those differences? Is there a way to swap memberships if that would make more sense?
