I own the Text of the Earliest New Testament Manuscripts by Comfort. I would like to know how to search for all of these manuscripts that contain 1Peter or portions of 1Peter without having to open each one to see the heading.

Can anyone help me with this?

Clearly something is wrong with (or never intended to work with) the bible index on this resource. The "good news" is that Comfort's book has an index for just such a thing to be found here:

Looking up the reference of interest in the index is probably going to be the quickest way, but there are two ways you could search for this in Logos:

  1. A Milestone search across all the Bibles: {Milestone <1 Peter>}
    See https://ref.ly/logosres/logos4help;hw=Advanced_Searching;off=20897;ctx=or_matching_labels.$0A~Milestone$0AA_search_f for documentation
  2. A reference search just in the TENTGM resource: <1 Peter>

Another alternative if you want to make this part of an expository study is to:

  1. Set up a text comparison linked to your bible with NA28, Text of the Earliest Greek NT
  2. Set up multi-view with the same.
  3. Link an Exegetical Guide with the Textual Variants/Transcriptions open.

I use the first in my layout along with a few other Greek Texts to assist in my study. Here is a screen shot of all three options in the same layout for 1 Peter for comparison:
