Basically Ctrl + Shift + # (I've discovered that my number pad doesn't work for this, I have to use the numbers above the QWERTY keys).

Also consider the cousin of bookmarks, favorites http://wiki.logos.com/Favorites

Can anyone tell me why, when I set a bookmark, the bookmark link doesn't take me back to where I left off in the book but takes me to a random place in the book?

Perhaps with a bit more information. What resource are you having this problem with? Do you have multiple bookmarks? Are you using more than one platform? Each of these questions may help narrow down the possible problem.

As nearly as I can tell, it sets the bookmark to a spot near the top of the displayed text in the window.  WHen you restore it puts that top somewhere near the top of your display.

Then again there may now be a bug in the bookmark code. Mine no longer synch between copies of LOGOS (Using 4.0b 4.0.2.3.7337).  synch now seems to have no effect on either set of bookmarks.  If there is one bug there will be many more.

The bbokmark always takes you back to the place in the resource that you were at when you set the bookmark. If you open the resource and read 10 pages and close it, it will still go to the place the bookmark was set the next time you open it. Reset the bookmark after each sessions to move its place.

If you would use the key combo Ctrl+Shift+Number (change Number to the bookmark number) before you close the book, then it should remember where your left off.

P.S. you need to use the number keys above the keyboard (not the keypad)

My problem (which I have reported as a bug) is that copies of 4.0a will update bookmarks when you sync but 4.0b will not.  I have observed this event. THe last computer to change versions would sync (down at least) with the other computers until it was updates. Now it does not seen to sync bookmarks nor highlighting.

THe other weird part is that two of the 3 copies do not display the circular arrows in the upper right corner. It may be that these copies have sync disabled somehow, but I have no idea how.

The usual reason for the sync icon not being present is that "Use Internet" in Program Settings is set to "No," or the user is working offline. Are either of those the case here?
