I discovered a new concept today concerning discounts on FL products. I saw we could get a $25 discount as a thank you for 25 years in business. So I went ahead, selected a product and applied the coupon, only to find out that the discount I would have received was $11. I went on the chat and I was told that it is not a cart-level applied discount.

What that means is that there should be a mental footnote to any promotion: whatever discount is promised only applies to a fully priced product. In my case, since I had an academic discount, I get less of a thank you.

Not that it is not understandable, but it is still disappointing to find out that you get less of a discount than what you were told you would get.

I'd thought I'd spread the word so that hopefuls would not be as disappointed if they are warned it might happen.

The 25 years anniversary coupon has been updated and now it is possible to get the full $25 off even with academic discount.

Thank you, FL. Much appreciated.
