Some of these have been in my Pre-Pub account for more than a year, and with the recent pending deletion of long lists of Pre-Pubs, I'd sure like to get these pushed through, especially Neusner at 67% off and Brown to complete the series!

I'm in!
Matthew:

$400/$560 is a big monthly expense (especially not knowing if additional pre-pubs I've ordered would also end up shipping in the same month). Some of us would benefit from some manner of pre-pub payment plan to be able to pay for certain resources.

This is one of those times where I really wish FL would put together Jewish base packages, even if it consisted of pre-pubs like this which would ship once available. It would make it so much more cost-effective to afford and get many of these significant works published.

Thanks on the Dr. Brown vote! I completely agree on the big expense. I'd only say though that neither of those two are anywhere near getting to the next step and you can alway cancel if it gets near the ship date and it's not the right time for you financially. Been there, done that. I hate to cancel prepubs I've ordered, but with no way of knowing if/when any of them are going to get done, there's really no other way to try to get them published. You can't even add them to your wish list, so it's either sign up for them or try to remember that you were once interested in them--not a great system.

You're 100% right, we should have the option of making a new payment plan or adding to an existing payment plan when these high-ticket resources finally get around to shipping. I for one would buy a lot more resources that way. I also definitely wish that there were Jewish base packages and would definitely purchase the largest I could afford.

The heavy draw on rabbinic sources for the sermon on the mount book makes this set a particular interest too.. I am in for these too... only the large set I was not in before today.

Brown is only $10 for a 350 page book, but he needs more pre-orders to avoid cancellation.

Looks like the color has transformed from red to orange, almost there! My memory not terribly good, someone could confirm!

This would nicely enhance the series in Logos: https://www.logos.com/product/3494/answering-jewish-objections-to-jesus

Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 8.1

Yep, I saw it too--thanks to everyone who helped!! If anyone reads this who hasn't ordered it, please do so--it's only $9.95 and it completes the five-volume series.

It would be great if we could get this through.  It needs another strong push.

My biggest problem with "pre-pubs" is that its a popularity game where Messianic Jews lose BIG time! Look at how long it takes for most Christian books to get published versus a Messianic-Jewish book to get published? Sometimes we need the rich business owners to just afford to give in and give a minority group what they want and need because we can't even get Christians to understand why a resource is important! They were taught to be "not Jewish" in what they read, do, see and hear. I can't figure out how to say this without being offensive so I'll just let God Himself let you know what I'm trying to say as He knows how to say it properly. Thanks!

An Idea on how to say this: If I were to put this in Food Shelf terms, 100% of all "just buy the bag and it goes to the food shelf"! are 100% NOT food allergy friendly and never gluten free! If everyone only bought those bags to donate to the food shelf, the minority with food allergies would go to the food shelf and have very little, if anything, they can eat.  So it is with Biblical Resources. We Messianic Jews already lack Messianic Rabbis willing to write and publish, so when they do finally write we like to see it get published so that we can get our hands on it and be fed. The problem is that the food shelf  where I live thinks that I need to get glad wrap and simply get less then my alloted amount of food and just "use the measly foodstamps instead" and Christians think that "We need to go to church only and read only non-Messianic Jewish books" as its all the same God anyway as if our culture is nothing to be considered. We are supposed to read, think, act as if Jewish culture died when we became saved and that Jesus was a Christian and never Jewish. (FYI - Tofu and Gluten free rarely comes into the food shelf. Vegan is unheard of and 99% of all canned soups contain beef or chicken. And when GF anything comes in, its limited to one item - especially the flour. Every single month, the gluten eaters can get flour and pasta. I never can get pasta because its never GF, but I'm restricted to 10 rice bags, but they can get 10 rice bags, all the pasta they want plus flour! I only get 10 rice bags. I'm allergic to too many things!) BTW as soon as my sister starts paying me to live with me, I am ditching the food shelf and will be able to buy Logos 8! (And some resources to boot!)

Having read your posts in other forums, I understand your frustration—and pain. However, this criticism is misplaced where it concerns FaithLife. This company operates on a thin margin and must make a profit to stay in business.

This thread is 2 years old, and all the resourced promoted in the original post—except one—are now in publication.

Dear Kytriya - Like Jack I read the pain in what you have written and understand why you may think that gentile Christians would say and believe such things. Be assured there are many gentile believers who, like me, celebrate the Jewish origins of our faith and have no wish that Messianic Jews should leave their Jewish culture. Over the years I've collected many Jewish and Messianic Jewish resources (including from Faithlife) and its a joy to learn much from your culture and particular beliefs that tell me of Jesus, our Jewish Messiah.

While it can take a long time for certain pre-pubs to get to production, I'm still grateful to Faithlife to bringing what Jewish and Messianic Jewish resources they have to our Logos libraries. May Faithlife be encouraged to produce many more!  Keep well  Paul

Just curious, I queried "messianic jewish" which picks up 68 of the publisher's volumes, as well as the normal messianic jewish volumes (Stern, etc), plus side volumes (an associated author, etc). Maybe 90 total. But what was interesting was how many Logos had actually carot'd by M/J tradition: 13. It'd be a challenge to narrow the 90 or so down to actual.

Ultimately, the most effective way of causing FL to carry more titles from a particular religious tradition is to increase the number of customers from that tradition/buying resources that already exist (even in Pre Pub) in that tradition.

Ideally, that would be through offering other requested base packages (such as Judaism, and Messianic Judaism), along with improved store tagging to help discover more resources.

Until we get to that point, we will have L8 library expansions which might be released next week.

We're fortunate that FL does have relationships with Jewish and Messianic Jewish publishers. FL continues to add resources to their store.

Perhaps one day FL will have agreements with Carta Jerusalem and Artscroll.

That would be cool if you could do that! I've been trying to get more people interested in Logos - both Pastors, Rabbis and anyone from either tradition who I think might love a good Bible study. I still think that any Rabbi or Pastor should be using Logos. Its far superior to Wordsearch. (I have free versions of both). Messianic Jews willing to study and buy into Logos that I could find, is too slim yet. I'm holding out hope for the future here!

As far as slim profit margins, I can understand not offering Greek for free (with the understanding the Hebrew is also not free). My only point was that Czech, Greek (2 different versions?) and Latin is free while no Hebrew is on offer for free. OTOH, I might be missing a huge issue here - Some people will buy into Logos if Greek and Latin is free, but Hebrew being free just won't bring in the buyers.

I have thousands of dollars worth of books I hope to buy from Logos eventually. There is a reason why I don't download every free book on offer. I want to buy into Logos in the future and do not care to download all the free stuff without buying something - next year in March, I should be able to at least spend $25 per month. Then, hopefully by October, I can afford to buy the Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament. I got the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament at steep discount at a used book store. However, eventually, I'll buy the Logos version of that too! I am a completionist.

Gentiles with a Jewish heart - there are always exceptions. I keep running into the ones who "don't get it". I am very thankful for the Jewish books that are found here. I also did state that we need more Messianic Jews to write/publish books and that Logos can't offer what no one is writing. lol

Lastly....I am sorry because I missed one huge obvious fact. In order to publish something, it is going to have a cost and so many units must be sold to even break out even. Well, doh! (On me, not you!) Sorry! I was hoping that you guys were more successful so that you could afford to get something out  that is a minority want and to be able to afford to do so. Oh well. Maybe someday I'll be off of disability and will own my own billion dollar company and be able to pay people to support Logos and encourage them to study using logos too.  Why aren't Universities and Seminaries using Logos more with their students? That would make sense to me! Thanks!
