I am glad Logos is having a Bible Tech Conference.  After seeing this for 40 days and 40 nights, I still don't plan on going.

Is there a way we can delete these announcements?  That seems to be a courteous way of treating your customers!

Hear what you're saying. I'm pretty fed up with them as well and find all the announcements really make the Home screen look cluttered. While I like the idea of Logos having a news feed to the iPhone app, the conference is a good example of why this feed needs to be to another tab/area. I too am pretty fed up seeing an announcement about something that is of no relevance to me, living outside the US, for so long. Here's hoping an upgrade resolves this.

I agree. I'd be happy to receiving Logos blog posts on this screen however.

Prayer Lists on the Home Page would be nice too ... Smile

I would vote for leaving them but letting us remove them.

Or perhaps a setting to let us choose what category of items are displayed and not displayed in our home page?

I don't mind seeing them on the homepage....I would just like a hide feature. There are a bunch of Logos news items that do interest me. And I think if Logos is giving away an app for free, they should be able to advertise a bit on it. But it would be most effective if we were able to hide the stuff we are uninterested in and then the new stuff would jump out a little more.

many free apps have ads, so I can't fault them for it

since we paid for the desktop it feels like we are paying customers, but when I bought my copy there wasn't even a 4.0 let alone an iphone or an app for it

glad to have it, but i do hope we can turn off things on the home page after they've been seen once

I don't mind the ads being there. I just would like them to go away once I've read them... Or give me an opportunity to remove them once read. And, as has been mentioned, an opportunity to choose the categories I see...

How about when you log in first, you see them all.  Then you can choose to save the ones you want, with a click of some plus sign or other mark.  Then only those things saved will remain.  Next time you log in, the other non-saved items will be gone.

How about a home page that is similar to the PC/MAC version homepages instead of this list of ads and announcements. Isn't that just an RSS feed?

A new version of the App came today and the updates to the Home Page are a big improvement.

... by adding a few reading lists, v1.3 moves the 'ads' (i mean 'news') down far enough that it's off the first screen

actually, i don't mind the news info - i'm just glad that Logos is offering this as a free app.  thanks Logos!

I would like the option of not even seeing the home page at startup. I would like the option of opening up to the exact place I left in the resource I was last reading. If advertising is what comes with a free app, I would prefer to pay for it.
