Another Highlighting Question

I watched a video about what I believe was called sympathetic highlighting. Basically, if you have more than one interlinear or origional text open you can click and drag to show that text in all of the versions.

What I was hoping for was a way to highlight one Bible and have it highlight all of the Bibles in your library open or closed. Is there any way to do this? I understand the disadvantages such as wanting certain highlighting for certain types of study such as an inductive study markings showing up everywhere, but I would also love to have the ability to highlight all of my "general/thought" highlighting appear in each Bible instead of having to open a speciffic Bible to have things stand out to me. I hope this make sense, it is kind of hard to explain. sorry if you are scratching your head now Stick out tongue

The biggest problem here is there is not always a direct correlation between different words in different Bibles...especially if they use different underlying manuscripts. As an extreme (slightly ridiculous) example, if you highlight a word or passage in the Message, how can it properly transfer that highlight to Young's Literal? I don't see this being feasible.

You kinda can do this with Visual Filters (which is found under File on the top menu).

This will allow you to setup highlighting in all your Bibles. Once created, you will need to use Visual Filters [the 3 circle thingy on a resource's toolbar to enable/disable it]. (a shortcut to turning this on in all resources, is to right click on your visual filter filename in Visual Filter and select show in all appropriate resources)

Sympathetic Highlighting is a transient feature. There is no way to apply a visual markup to all Bibles from it.

You can use Notes to attach a colored box to a specific verse in every Bible, but this does not come with highlighting. It would not work if you were looking to highlight specific words or phrases within verses. To add these boxes: Right click on a verse, select the reference from the right click menu and then click add note to "****" Then in the Note file you can change the color of the box. I know it's not what you want, but it might serve as a work-around.
