When I open Logos 6 and plug in that I want to go to John 4, in the commentaries are it shows no result. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi Patrick! Sorry you are having troubles [:s]
Is there a reason you are still using L6? Unless for some reason your computer is unable to update, you should be using the Free L7 engine. I suggest updating and see if that solves the problem. See the install link in my signature line.
To get the best help possible, this thread may be moved to either the L6 or L7 forum and we will need some more info from you. What specific OS? Which specific version of the Logos engine? Can you post logs? See my signature line for a link to instructions.
I think I fixed the problem, But I have heard there are no real benefits to upgrading to 7.

You should always update to the newest engine. Just as you update from 6.0 to 6.1, you should update from 6.x to 7.x. If for no other reason than this: you will get better support and at some point L6 will become unsupported. It is better to keep up with updates as you go along. Also, there will be resource updates incompatible with earlier versions, so you would miss out on those. If the question is: "Should I purchase updates," that is a question you will have to answer for yourself, but updating the (free) engine should be standard practice for most every user.
But I have heard there are no real benefits to upgrading to 7.
Thankful for free Basic and Verbum Basic packages, which could add "access-only" resource(s) for use in Logos 7 and/or Verbum 7 (depending on your library).
Logos 6 is currently in maintenance mode => https://www.logos.com/support/free-support while older versions are unsupported.
Keep Smiling [:)]
