Here's another sale FL should have. I'd be really nice if they did. Lots of items to choose from (e.g. Welwyn commentary set, POSB set, and other great sets!).

Nice clickbait. I expected to find a Logos sale Stick out tongue

I don't see that type of deal working out well for Logos. Buying one Platinum package and getting another Platinum package free?! Crazy good for us, crazy bad for them.

Is not on Base Packages is just 50 selected resources. There are some great complete sets being offered. I may jump on the 49 volume Welwyn Commentary for $149.99 and add another set of the same value or less. I'm trying to decide.

The nature of the sale mentioned is in essence the same as 50% off; that said, BOGOF is a sales tactic with the potentially negative effect that it can encourage consumers to spend more than they might wish in order to gain additional products that they do not necessarily need. Logos has 50% off deals on items every month, and sometimes even more than 50% off e.g. certain works by the winner of March Madness will be on sale for 70% off.

I realise, DAL, that you're encouraging Logos to hold more sale events in order to benefit Logos users and to generate more sales for Logos, but I wonder if the image you attached to your original post might inadvertently contravene forum guidelines: isn't there something about not advertising Logos competitors on Logos' forums? Sorry if I've misunderstood.

On a personal note, I'd be quite glad for Logos to have fewer sales because it would save me a lot of money! Big Smile

G&P.

I would settle for FL to work out a deal with the publishers and have a super sale once a year; and I mean a real super sale on good up-to-date products, including Mobile Ed courses.

For anyone who might not know, Logos even has 50% off deals every day, with the Daily Deals that you find on their Twitter and Facebook feeds.

I think FL already gives us plenty of opportunities to buy things on sale, using a variety of approaches. What I'd like is a better way to discover "unadvertised sales" that you have to stumble across or discover via the forum.

I don't understand the marketing strategy of advertising any Logos sales only on third party sites such as Twitter or Facebook while not advertising them on the Logos website and/or letting their existing customer base know about them via email.  I'm usually on the Logos web site and checking email on a daily basis.  I've never been on Twitter (nor do I wish to be) and I'm rarely on Facebook.

It looks like Mobile Ed CP is making a comeback. Over 80% off, sometimes over 90% off a new course is a real super sale!

As for existing Mobile Ed courses, it's rare to see a sale over 40%. Hoping MM will let us get a course or two for 50%-70% off.

I think it would be great if FL sold dynamically priced course packages (a discounted course, plus discounted books). The HB101 bundle is a great start, and I'd love to see some of the book study courses offer discounts on commentary volumes that aren't normally on sale.

What typically happens is a commentary set goes on sale, then a course comes out a few months later which happens to use volumes that were on sale. More advance notice of recommended readings would help alleviate that dilemma, letting us get the resources while they are on sale, then the course on sale also.

That's a home run hole-in-one.

I can explain it. Social sites like twitter, facebooks, etc. are a means of free & (relatively speaking) effective marketing. By providing "twitter" or "FB" only deals, they incentivize you to "like" them. By doing so, your friends & followers get personalized advertising from Logos. For example, on FB, I routinely see ads that say "John Doe" (where "John Doe" is one of my FB friends) likes DirectTV. Likewise, FL will have special offers sometimes where you have to like & comment on a post. Those will show up in other people's news feeds.

If these deals were sent out by email, etc. there would be less incentive for users to "like" them, which would mean the loss of a free advertising stream for the company.

Yes, and who would like getting too many email deals from a company? I think more people would "dislike" (unsubscribe).

I find it easier, faster, and more convenient to glance at a short tweet than to read an email. I appreciate FL keeping daily deals out of my Inbox, as I have enough emails to read in general.

I am content to miss out on the Facebook deals, because of everything else that also ends up in that feed.
