Is it safe to upgrade to macOS Sierra?  I am still on El Captain and I didn't want to upgrade and have problems.

I've been using Sierra since release and have had no issues with Logos whatsoever.

I have no issues. There might be another iteration later this year, so you should do it now. Sierra is a pretty solid release.
