Has anybody been to Camp Logos? Is it worth the money for someone who has been using Logos for almost 2 years? If so, why?

I think it'd be worth it if they gave the DVD's for free to those who attended the live sessions. The go back and review would be more beneficial.

Yes. Morris Proctor includes demonstration and discussion of many features in Logos and Verbum, which has been updated for version 7. Demonstration includes zooming into portion of screen for particular item so can see what happens during mouse interaction.

Thankful for many friendly forum discussions where have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn (along with my own personal use for many years). Hoping to participate in a nearby Camp Logos 1 and 2 this year for various learning opportunities: e.g. newer features and datasets, refresher about effective use and share tips with others.

I bought a Camp Logos 1 DVD set and was amazed at how great it was.  Morris Proctor is an excellent teacher and it is easy to duplicate on your screen exactly what he is teaching on the video.  I used my laptop for the video and sat it next to my desktop for hands on training.  I would probably go the the Baltimore Camp but we will be out of town on vacation at that time.  In the mean time I am keeping my eyes open for the opportunity to obtain the Camp Logos 2 DVD set.

Be strong and courageous. . . for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

I have been when he did one in the UK, and it opened my eyes to what you can do with the software.

It was also a really fun day out.

You can get the information through the manuals or the DVD that Morris Proctor sells.  The question is whether or not you have the time and discipline to work through them. To me, the primary value of Camp Logos is that you will "get away" for two days to concentrate on using Logos.  For most of us, that is the only way we will take the time to work through the different capabilities of the software.

Camp Logos has many live events this year => http://mpseminars.com/events/ that include personal interaction with Morris and other students: e.g. personally looking forward to Colorado Springs later this month (22 - 24 May).

Good summary.

Morris Proctor is the best seminar instructor I have ever seen. Very well organized. Very good use of time. Productive. I highly recommend.

Yes. I've been to a Camp Logos by Morris Proctor.  He's a very good presenter, very organized, and patiently explains in detail how to get the most out of Logos Bible Software.  I was skeptical when I attended, but I was thoroughly impressed by the end of the camp. I had no idea just how power Logos was and it was Morris Proctor that really took the time to equip the audience, in detail (answering questions along the way). I really learned alot and highly recommend Camp Logos events.

Would you all say that the 3 Volume Logos 7 training manuals are comparable to Camp Logos?

Keith, the value of Camp Logos is two-fold: the information and getting away to walk through using the software for hours each day.  The manuals only give you the information.  If you walk through the manuals step by step, then you would have most of the information shared at Camp Logos. Most people won't do that. It would take hours.  However, at Camp Logos, Morris will walk you through (and you will walk with him), click by click through the concepts. For me, I bought the manuals after attending Camp Logos to be able to refer back.

www.learnlogos.com is another option if you want to own hundreds of videos.

Logos wiki includes:

Faithlife's free 30 Day Training has videos plus manuscript, which is Mobile Education course LT271

Camp Logos provides time to click, learn, and digest along with interactive discussion plus chasing/catching rabbits. Three days transpire quickly.

Yes, Camp Logos is worth it. Morris is one of the nicest people around. The camp is interactive and fun. There were people there who would walk around and give personal help when you were stuck. There was a syllabus with the camp that is sufficient enough to review everything that was covered when you get home. At least go once for the experience. It got me excited about using the software and talking with other Logos fans.

I attended Camp Logos 1 several years ago and have nothing but good things to say about the content, delivery, and value.  Speaking of value, don't let the cost of the seminar discourage you (Morris isn't your typical "cheap date").... the seminar typically offers deep Deep DEEP discounts on assorted Logos bundles that will save you more than the cost of admission if you are planning to purchase any Logos upgrades.  My advice: do it.
