If you were looking at a hard rive review, and typical benchmarks like sequential, 4k read, random read, etc...what does Logos 7 do?

All of them!  Loading Logos and Searching would utilize (4k) random reads. Playing video or reading media files would be Sequential. Downloading and indexing would mainly involve random writes. You don't have to worry about these with an SSD, but there are general factors with Hard drives:

  • Rotational speeds of 7200 RPM or 10,000 RPM are much better than 5400 RPM.
  • Large capacity (1 TB or more) 2.5 inch drives are best
  • 32 MB cache is better than 16 MB
  • Manufacturer description of its use e.g. gaming, video editing
