Is anyone else having motion background issues with current version?  This is first time I've had this issue, so I don't know if it was a glitch that a reboot would take care of, or something wrong with the latest update.

Song slides with motion background was giving me problems this morning.  They would show on one slide, and then every couple slides, the words would come up, but have a black background (instead of motion graphic), then after 10 seconds or so, the motion graphic would pop back on behind the words.  Occasionally the motion background would show, but it would be 'frozen' like a still background for some time before the motion animation would play.

These issues were on 'Song' items, where a single motion background was added from the media library behind song lyrics.  So the issues were occuring within a set of the same item group.  The problem happened with 3 songs that I had different motion backgrounds on.  The motion backgrounds were from the Media Library, not custom uploads.  The one song where I had a static image as the background did not have any problem, and did not black-out from slide to slide.

Again, this is the first I've ran into the issue.  Will have to wait until next week to see if it's recurring.  I couldn't reboot the machine to see if restarting windows would fix the issue, as we were in the middle of live service.

Hello Jason! We've heard similar reports from users who are still using Windows 7 or Windows 8. If this is the case, this typically has to do with older versions of Windows Media Player (which Proclaim uses for these types of items) having some trouble. You'll want to look into upgrading your System to Windows 10 to ensure you have the newest version of WMP, and the newest updates for it. Microsoft still offers a number of ways to acquire Windows 10 for free, so this would be the best solution going forward.

Yes, I believe we are on Win8/8.1 still, not sure which one.  I never noticed this problem before on the same machine in the past, this was the first time I've seen the issue.

I will keep it under advisement to try Win10, not sure if that is a fix that will happen immediately though.

Old thread, but this happens to me.

A Proclaim support angel was able to replicate this scenario on their own PC.

We are on Windows 7.

The problem starts when being "on-air", on a video slide, and switching to "Edit" without escaping (exiting) on-air.

As soon as that sequence occurs, I can see thru task manager (or process explorer) that the Proclaim process starts taking 100% of cpu (or 50% of a 2-core or 25% of a 4-core, etc).

And proclaim never recovers from that.

The delays and freezes come from Proclaim being stuck doing nothing and doing it very vigorously in the background, so it can't service the next-slide request promptly, because it's so busy doing nothing. I'm sure it's trying to something useful, it's just confused or stuck.

Restarting Proclaim (and then not clicking Edit when displaying a video slide on-air) fixes the problem for us reliably.

It's any video slide. Motion background, or foreground video.

I don't know if the problem you're reporting has anything to do with your OS, but it may
