Prayer Lists
Is the file layout for Prayer List files public?
I want to create a Prayer List for the entire congregation that I serve. Each week we pray for 2-3 households in the congregation (be them members or not). These aren't prayers for those who have specifically identified needs--but prayers for people solely because they are part of the family of God. I don't want to have to go through and create each household's individual prayer record (with start and end dates). I'm hoping I can set it up in Excel, export it to a CSV format (or something similar) do some additonal simple editing if I have to, and save it in the correct directory for L4 to find it.
If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
Peace & Blessings in this the most holiest of weeks.

Logos 4 file formats are not exposed, and you can't use external tools to put data into them.
In the future I expect we'll have API's that let you do custom integration (see http://api.biblia.com, for example), but this isn't ready yet.
Sorry!

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I can certainly understand that adding this functionality isn't the highest priority at the moment--keep up the great work that you are doing.
My sermon research using L4 has been so much fun during Holy Week, I feel like I did when I first purchased my Logos disks back in the mid 1990s. Thanks again.
Peace & Blessings,

Since we can now import L3 prayerlists, you could just create a L3 compatible Prayerlist file, then place it in the ...\My Documents\Libronix DLS\PrayerLists directory (creating directory if needed) and then type in IMPORT PRAYER LISTS in Logos 4. The only time you will have an issue is if you want to export a PrayList already in Logos4.

Hi John,
Can you direct me to the file format then for a L3 compatible Prayerlist file? I've tried searching through the forums, but still haven't found the file format.
Thanks.
Peace & Blessings,
