This question might sound strange, but this is my situation.

My home language is Afrikaans (roots in Dutch) as well as my congregation.

My problem is that in most situations information on the Afrikaans word is not nearly as helpful as the english word. In Phil 2:12 the word beloved's information includes Louw & Nida whereas the Afrikaans word, "geliefdes" does not link to L&D.

Question: Do other English 2nd language users also mainly use a good english translation as their working translation in stead of their home language?

I keep both Finnish Bible and Greek-English / Hebrew-English Interlinear open all the time. I check ESV time by time also.

Faithlife Connect + several Base Packages + Luther's Works, etc.

Does your Afrikaan bible have a reverse interlinear (Afrikaan-Greek)? - you should find this on its Information page. The English bible also needs a reverse interlinear to link to Greek lexicons.

If you are referring to the Information tool is Louw-Nida missing from the Word Info section or the Definition section?

I have just done a tutorial and have discovered that this search does not bring up any results in any Afrikaans Bible, but 118 in the ESV:

{Speaker <Person Jesus>}{Addressee <Person God>}

This means that for searches like this I will have to use an English Bible. I have now made my preferred Bible the ESV.

But only those like the ESV that have a reverse interlinear e.g it won't work for NET Bible, ASV, Message.
