Hello,

I am having problem with Logos syncing. I'm getting the red exclamation mark and the message: "An error occurred during synchronization."

I am running Logos 7.10.0.0019 on a MAC with Sierra OS. I think this started after the system automatically updated to version 7.10, but I'm not sure of that.

I closed down Logos, started and enabled the Logging Utility and then restarted Logos. I have attached the logs.

Can someone please help me figure out what's going on?

Thanks

You have a problem with a Visual Filter (Documents > Visual Filter). Delete or modify the latest VF that you created/modified.

This indicates a problem with syncing a Visual Filter - the log contains:

2017-10-18 23:25:46.7013 | ERROR | 18 | DatabaseSyncClientRepository | Item of type VisualFilterSyncItem failed to submit; marked as error: 959c5076aa204dec9e594cfd048e1c26

I assume the long number at the end is an internal id of the Visual Filter but I can't determine what Visual Filter that refers to - but someone from Faithlife might be able to.

Have you added a Visual Filter recently? If so, if you delete it does the sync error continue?

OK. I deleted my latest visual filter. Closed Logos and restarted and same problem.

Next, I deleted all my visual filters. Closed Logos and restarted and same problem.

So, evidently, it has nothing to do with visual filters.

Should I try doing another log dump?

Delete the folder /Users/gregorywaddell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/bc0tknxl.jg8/Documents/VisualFilter It will be recreated when you restart Logos.

Did you mean VisualMarkup? There is no VisualFilter.

Did you check in the ...Documents folder? Your logfile shows it is present

2017-10-18 23:25:28.9592 |  INFO | 1 | LocalFileDatabase | Found existing database at /Users/gregorywaddell/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/bc0tknxl.jg8/Documents/VisualFilter/VisualFilter.db

Please check again and delete the VisualFilter folder

Go to your Logos4/Documents/bc0tknxl.jg8  folder and look within its Documents folder for VisualFilter.
