Remembering Last Window Size and Position

L4 seems to forget the last window size and position after being minimized and restored from the Windows taskbar (I think this happened for me in L3 too). For instance, I may choose to work with Logos in one part of my desktop and then minimize the program to the Windows taskbar for some time. When I choose to return to the program I restore the window but it pops up in the middle of the desktop--somewhere other than the last place and size I set it. This also happens when I load a saved layout (regardless of the window size and position when the layout was saved).
I might expect this behavior when I open a new session of L4, but no other program on my system does this when restoring it from the taskbar.
I'm running L4 on Windows 7 (64 bit). Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

welcome to the forum!
What version of L4 are you running?
This was a problem several version back. They fixed it in version 4.0Sr7 or 4.0a (i am a little fuzzy on version). i am running version 4.0bSr1 (the current released version) and i am not able to reproduce your problem.
You can click on the question mark and a drop down menu will appear. Go down to About Logos Software as shown in the image below
When the About window appears, you will see your version number as shown below

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using the same version: 4.0b Sr-1(4.02.3.7704)
I recorded an .avi video from my desktop as proof. You can download it from here: https://my.syncplicity.com/share/nviugrslzl/L4_window_resize.zip
Perhaps the problem has something to do with Window 7 snap.

Yes, this does look like a Windows 7 issue (i am running vista). i noticed in your avi that the window was snapping as you located it in 2 places.
Hopefully others with Windows 7 here can help you. (there are quite a few here with that OS)

Windows 7 doesn't seem to remember the snap position itself, only the position prior to the snap. This seems to be a Win7 (not an L4) issue. I have the same problem with other programs. I haven't noticed it with L4, because I always run L4 full screen.

For several months I've had the occasional problem that when L4 is loaded, the window position is either about 20 pixels to the left, or about 80 pixels above what it should be. These are annoying as it takes a number of steps to make the window even smaller for it somehow to position itself in a manner where I can grab the top bar and reposition it.
Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it?
I load it always in 'Normal' rather than 'Maximised', as when it is in 'Maximised' and I press F11, the main window takes time to convert itself to 'Normal' before going to 'reader' view. The same applies in reverse when exiting that view, which is annoying in both cases.
I'm running Win XP SP3, with 4.0c SR2.

John D

That's exactly the problem I'm experiencing even now with 4.3 SR-6. It's frustrating and definitely a L4 problem - none of my other programs show this behaviour. Any news on this bug?
