I'd like to suggest Alan F. Segal's Two Powers in Heaven: Early Rabbinic Reports about Christianity and Gnosticism.  It's directly related to the issues that Michael Heiser discusses in The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible.

I was searching for this book in Logos but only this post came up, so consider this a bump for this request. Big Smile

EastTN:

I'd like to suggest Alan F. Segal's Two Powers in Heaven: Early Rabbinic Reports about Christianity and Gnosticism.  It's directly related to the issues that Michael Heiser discusses in The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible.

I purchased Segal's book on Paul a couple of decades ago, and so when I finally got around to reading it, I asked for Two Powers and about half-a-dozen other books by Segal years ago (maybe even before The Unseen Realm came out?). But I've just gone ahead and purchased many of those books off ebay and amazon. These books, like Robert Alter's and many others, just don't seem like they will ever materialize in Logos format. I very rarely buy Logos books any more, because the things I want will never make it past the PrePub gauntlet, assuming deals with the publishers ever happen.
