The more bids the lower the pricing will be! It started at $220 and is down to $190, let's keep it going! Bruce Waltke is a great scholar.

Nice find! I am in at $200 for Waltke.
You can find his classes online, elsewhere, for free.
I continue to be baffled as to how a MobileEd class can be a great value at $200 for unaccredited scholarship.
Well it’s worth it if the price goes down far enough. Won’t buy it at the price currently but we got other courses down to less than $100 and it’s great value for what you learn in conjunction with having access to it in Logos I guess would be the reason
I'm down for it. Even the video by Waltke is moving.
These Mobile Ed courses with linked content, imo, are outstanding.

LOL yeah it literally is. I think they are great too.
Seems to be down to $190 now :-) Lets see if faithlife can shift the bar to the left a little :-) this does look great, I jumped in at $220 and it looks like the course would be good value at that price.
Yes, I hope Faithlife can adjust the bid pricing so it can go down further!
Same here. I've been in since the beginning BUT won't buy unless we can get the price down a lot more. I don't understand why Faithlife sets the low bid so high on these "Community" pricing resource. They're not obligated to produce any resource that doesn't get enough in bids to cover their production cost, so why not let the bidding start at a high enough price to indicate genuine interest in the product, but low enough to get everyone's attention. For a resource like this, at a low bid option of $75-$100, I would think Faithlife would see enough of an increase in the number of bids to more than offset the lower price. Although, it just occurred to me that maybe they don't want so many customers buying in at too good a deal or they won't have enough customers left over for purchases later on at the much higher regular price.
Yeah I think you're right
I believe FL garners attention to a course by starting with a high price and using the forums to gather more bidders as the dropping price encourages customers to post once again [again].
The minimum bid has dropped! Can we get more in on this to keep the price dropping please?

Let’s keep it going!! It’s dropped $50 since I first bid not that long a
Faithlife please lower the lowest bid option
yep please do :-)
Bump
Minimum is $150 now. Bid here
Thanks David, and Faithlife!
Keep bidding! 😊
Thank you Keith and all.... this will be a wonderful course and I bid 150..... keeping fingers crossed
And, you should be able to take this for free with your new faithlife connect subscription.
Thanks Faithlife for lowering the bidding threshold! However, for those of you already in the auction, PLEASE DO NOT LOWER YOUR BID! At this point in the auction, high bids make the resource appear to be more valuable. I have a bid in for $170. I am leaving it there so that demand at a higher price point remains in place. Future bidders will think, rightly, that they are getting a steal at $150, or perhaps even lower.
Don't worry. New bidders will push $150 to be the accepted bid. At that point, Faithlife will probably lower the bidding threshold once more. (At that point I will still keep my bid in at $170.)
Hi David ... I am not sure that I agree with the not lowering the bid idea. I suspect that many people stumbling across this CP will not have a clear idea of what it will be worth to them (and how can they? ... there is insufficient information and we cannot predict our future circumstances). I suspect that many people simply look at the green price and go with that, convinced it is a bargain, and and reassured that most people seem to think the same. I have often wondered where the initial 10 'guiding' bids come from, and who decides the price range.
Lowering your bid is more likely to increase your bid point and reduce the 'competing' bid price. Thus it is more likely to achieve the lower price ... so long as you are willing to risk missing out if it 'suddenly' rushes through.
What do you think of Rob's comment? $150 will pay for a basic connect subscription ... with change to spare ... where I could choose this course if I wanted to. Alternatively, I could choose any course in the FL arsenal ... and also have whatever benefits come from Connect. Similarly, this $150 plus the $99 that I was already spending on LN could get me two courses plus even more 'benefits'. I realise that this would be a rental but with so much to choose from, I cannot see myself having the time to review a course ... and I could always choose the same course again.
Is this the end of mEd CP? or at least the end whilst they want $150+ ... instead of perhaps $70. I took advantage of the OT312 CP ... $85 for what now retails at $750. (not that I would buy at that price!) this is $150 with a ticket price of $560. It seems that this is priced in the wrong range, after an announcement that for many would change their potential economic viewpoint.
Lowering your bid is more likely to increase your bid point and reduce the 'competing' bid price.
That's true.
If you don't lower your bid, it's more likely that the higher 'competing' bid will cross the line first, making it more difficult to drive the price lower (because it will be closing soon at the higher price).
To get the best price, we would want it to cross the line at the lowest price point (by removing support from the higher prices). Additional new bids will then drop the price even further.
Is this the end of mEd CP?
No. FL uses CP for longer (more expensive) courses, when it likely wouldn't get fully funded at Pre-Pub pricing. We will always have Mobile Ed CP (although I wish it was used for more courses, not only the more expensive ones).
It seems that this is priced in the wrong range, after an announcement that for many would change their potential economic viewpoint.
Pricing is currently based on the length (video hours) of the course. I don't think providing access to one or two courses per year will affect retail course pricing at all.
Personally, I'm using the opportunity to rent courses I wouldn't have taken otherwise. And FL still makes money from those courses, even though we don't buy them, because we probably need to purchase a few books for the required readings.
I am worried that if it doesn't go down, then a lot of people will bail out.
Are you implying that his class on OT Theology is online somewhere, or just that he has some of his other classes online? I haven't been able to find any videos of "OT theology" online
Bump....bid bid bid
The recent introduction of Faithlife Connect and, now, the arrival of March Madness may be preventing some forum users from noticing this post about the amazing Old Testament Theology course currently on Community Pricing. The more people who bid, the lower the final price will be. There are surely enough Logosians interested in the theology of the Old Testament (which BTW influences the theology of the New Testament!) to get the price of this course below $99. Faithlife please lower the lowest bid! Keep bidding everyone, we are making great progress!

I started a new thread to highlight that OT300 is currently 73% off, which is a much bigger discount than the as yet unknown winning March Madness Mobile Ed product.
Hopefully it will grab the attention of more forum readers, attract more bidders and therefore lower the cost for us all.
Good idea.
Keep bidding, and Faithlife please lower the bid!
Here it is. Please take a peek.
As this is CP then ... previous mEd courses (which I vaguely remembering as CP but may have been a one off deal (NT344?))
Feb 2018 ... OT312 ... Retail:$750 ... Paid:$85 ... Discount:88% ($4.25 per hour)
Nov 2017 ... NT362 ... Retail:$560 ... Paid:$70 ... Discount:88% ($4.67 per hour)
Nov 2017 ... NT344 ... Retail:$110 ... Paid:$10 ... Discount:91% ($3.33 per hour)
Current OT300 CP
Retail $560 therefore on CP I would expect to pay nearer to $70-80 .... NOT $150 !!! (16 hours at $4.50 = $72, 88% of $560 = $67)
Could we have a lowered price range please Logos and let market forces settle the price, which was the original intent of CP (as opposed to the pre-pub program)?
Thanks.
Could we have a lowered price range please Logos
The NT344 course was actually an add on to the "free book of the month" a little while back which is why it was only $10
