After repeated posting of ANABAPTIST Publications such as Menno Simmons, Dirk Phillips and the Martyrs Mirror.... I have been getting responses that these are PURITAN WRITERS and there are plent of PURITANS works represended in Pub and Pre-Pub.
1st - We are Anababaptist NOT PUTITANS....Anabaptist or Re-Baptisers - The primary aim of the Anabaptist Radicals was not (as is usually stated) the opposition to infant baptism, still less to some theological convictions surrounding sprinkling or pouring, but the establishment of a pure church of converts in opposition to the mixed church of the world. Medieval antecedents of Anabaptist may include the Brethren Brethren of the Common Life; The Brethren and the Devotio Moderna:The the Hussite (Jan Huss , who became one of the forerunners of the Protestant Reformation...); Dutch Sacramentists and some forms of Monasticism; Waldensians also represent a faith similar to the Anabaptists. During the reformation the Anabaptist as they were LATER refered to did not perticapate in Luther Reform movement, Luther still had a church state which required alligence, which the anaqbaptis would not performed. It is often debated to wheither The Catholics or the Protestant Burned more anabaptist.. Most (what we refer to the real ) Anaqbaptist simply moved to other countries like Switzerland netherlands and Moravia a few stayed behind worshiping in the woods houses and caves ... the ones which moved to Munster barracaded themself up and fought from being tortured and killed. This is against true Anabaptist beliefs (non-resistance is An Anabaptist Creed).. However the Catholic church Decided to call the Munster Group Anabaptist and thus to this day Catholics defins Anabaptist as militant (New Catholic Encyclodedia). PURITANS - were an ENGLISH formation and the result of the English reformation. They did not believe the english church had gone far enough. They also rejected the Authorizewd KJV of the Bible. The Anabaptist were also in England at this time and were killed by the hundreds. Some Baptist and Puritans were also killed but this was the refusal the Authorized KJV of the Bible.
Baptist are more than likly an offshoot of the Anabaptist according to the ETS group which held it's 2010 meeting at the New Orleans birthblace of the Conservative Resurggence of the Souther Baptist Convention. After a long discussion the various theories of Baptist Origins, The "Anabaptist Kinship" theory won out over the "English Seperatist" theory (One of both Calvanist and Puritan Origin) as being the most plausable.
OK - Baptist probably came from the Anabaptist...... (I use to be Baptist - this is no news to me)
ANABAPTIST are NOT PURITANS.... BEING SUCH = Anabaptist writting are not represented by LOGOS..Read my list of BOOKS - Dirk Phillips and Mino Simmons are to Anabaptist as Calvan is to Calanist. These are but two of the many examples. Anabaptist now exist as AMISH, MENNONITE, HUTTERITE, groups like CHARITY GOSPEL, many home churchs and many Bretherian denomination.
A Group which is referred too again and again in Christian History has VERY LITTLE in the LOGOS Library.
Thank you an God Bless

Fred, please. Nobody here thinks Anabaptists are Puritans. Your repeated posting of this message is serving no purpose. Nobody was saying there are plenty of Puritan writings and so thus your list doesn't need to be in Logos format. You've grossly misunderstood Jason's and my posts on that other thread. We are on your side, brother.

Agreed, Fred. I'm surprised you actually got a serious communication saying that. The other thread had a joking reference "If you claim they are Puritans, Logos would publish them quicker." because we have a bunch of Puritan writers in the Pre-Pub channel. I think Logos knows the difference. They have a lot of highly educated people working for the company. I learned a long time ago not to be personally offended by the order in which Logos publishes different collections. I am waiting on Stone-Campbell materials and would delight in having your list too. Ialso purchased the Works of H.A. Ironside http://www.logos.com/products/details/4556 .
You are a good voice for the Anabaptists. Thank you for your informative post. I imagine we will see something this year concerning Anabaptists.
...
This list is in Suggestions and I know this is not the place - However these are just a few of some of the Anabaptist Books I would like to see.
Thank you for your Time.
May God Bless You.

Help with the imbalance of Anabaptist/Baptist/Mennonite/Amish/Hutterite/Brethren and Conservative Protestant books in the LOGOS Library.
The ANABAPTIST Books not only represent Baptist/Protestant History but to a large part representws the resurgence of the home church in America.
Thanks for the reply...a little slow after my last stroke.....
I got it on the re-read.
God Bless
Thanks,, I have to repeat that after my last stroke i'm a bit slow on the uptake...
I started my Phd Th Courses to try to work the kinks out of my brain... Pray it works..
I have been waiting a while for Menno's works. I posted a request for it a few months ago. The other books look really interesting as well. I dont know the process of how one book gets chosen to be produced over another. But hopefully they will post a Anabaptist collection soon.
Blessings in Christ

Sorry to hear you have had a stroke recently (or more than one?). Will try to remember to be extremely patient with you on the forums as a result.
I know someone who retaught himself mathematics and electronics engineering in order to fix his brain after a brain injury from a car accident. A steady commitment to working on it and a strong desire to be well again and the pure drive of a tenacious spirit that wouldn't give up (fortunately that part of his brain hadn't been injured) took this friend of mine from not being able to tie his own shoes anymore all the way back to being the head of the electronics department of the college where he had taught before the accident. Took him two years to get back to where he could even return to teaching. But I believe with prayer and slogging it through, you can get back much of what you've lost. Will pray for you, brother.
