M'Cheyne Reading Plan - missed the start date :-(

Hi,
Trying to start the above plan on any day other than 1st January seems to be impossible.
What I want to do is have it start at the point it would be today.
(without having to mark off three months of readings)
Any chance?

Mike:
I don't see anything above the text. But I do see that one cannot change the reading plan to start today or tomorrow for that matter. I'll look into this.

"I don't see anything above the text"
Higher, higher.
(thanks for looking into it though)

After the plan is made, right click on the edit menu next to it on the home screen and go to "Adjust Plan from Today". That will make it as if the M'Cheyne's reading plan began today. Here's a video of me making the plan and then doing that exact thing.

Hi Jacob
I see that you are using the windows version. Any chance of doing video using the Mac Alpha? [;)]
When I try and change the start date it just jumps back to 1st January.
Also the Calendar View is not yet functional on the Mac although the list view works fine.
I have been using a paper programme for the reading plan so I really just want L4 to let me jump in part way through the plan.
Thanks for taking the trouble to do the video

[:O] I thought you were referencing a phantom screenshot of the reading plan. Now I realize you meant the thread title.

Quite by chance I clicked on edit under the reading plan today and the list view opened.
Trying to see if it was possible to select a group of dates to mark as read I made a discovery!
If you right click to the right of the list of readings you get a contextual menu which give options-
Catch up to here
Mark as read
Adjust Plan
So what I wanted was provided - just a little obscure.

It took a while, but we've (finally) fixed this (just in time for everyone starting a new reading plan on January 1st, anyway...).
Under "Predefined reading plans" (in Logos 6/7) there is a new plan: M'Cheyne Reading Plan (Any Start Date). If you select this one, you will be able to change the start date to any day of the year.

Hello
I want to have this plan started at Jan 1
and then have today's reading as if I had read everything since Jan 1 - is this possible?

Yes. Choose Documents > Reading Plan, then Choose a Predefined Reading Plan.
Select the M’Cheyne plan, and start it on January 1.
Then scroll down to yesterday’s date (e.g., July 24), right-click it, and choose “Catch up to here”. It may take a couple of seconds, but all readings through July 24 will be marked as read, and you can start with today’s reading.

And a wise choice in my opinion - I am not sure that M'Cheyne planned it that way but while the readings are in anyway connected to the Lectionary I always find that resonate with the Christian Year in quite unexpected ways. I am sure you will enjoy the experience.
