Gotta love the humble typo.

From Morris Proctor's "Search While Typing" Blog Post:

"If you were a Libronix 3 user before moving up to Logos 4 you may have enjoyed a feature called Bible Speed Speech . . ."

I wonder if this feature will help cut down on long-winded preaching?  Or maybe there could be a "Talk Through the Bible in an Hour" class.

I didn't notice this feature in Libronix, and I can't find it in Logos 4, but I really think Bob should bring it back.

:)

A little humor is good for the soul.

Blessings,

Jim D.

Logos 4 has it but at the moment it is not as speedy as it probably will be eventully.  If you never used the Logos 3 version then you might find it to your liking.  The feature was recently added and needs a bit of tweeking to match the speed of the previous version.

You can find it under your search command but you must select Bible as your medium.  You would also select "Search While You Type" [I think that is the right language] by clicking the link on the search parameters bar.

I appreciate Team Logos adding the feature and look forward to further improvements in speed.

I'm at work so unfortunately I cannot post screen shots but take a look at this wonderful video by Mark Barnes on the new features added in Logos 4.0b:

http://www.4-14.org.uk/logos-bible-software-tutorial-videos#40b

The 11:55 minute marker will demonstrate the new "Search While Typing" feature which is designed to give you a similar experience to Bible Speed Search in Logos 3 [albeit less speedy for now]

It's really hard to talk fast and type at the same time.

This was hands down my favorite feature in V3. It is not fast enough to be usable for me in V4. However...

Searching is so fast in V4 that I don't miss it too much anymore.

V4 is fantastic, and just got more so since I attended Morris Proctor's seminar last week.

Was the humor in the original post too dry to catch?

Ezekiel's dry bones were soggy compared to that evidently....

I guess they weren't using Bible Speed Speech - maybe that would've helped!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

IMHO you need to have "Search all word forms turned on" and the "grid option selected" for best results. I like using it in my "Top Bibles."

C'mon folks - My origina post was pointing out a funny (I thought) typo one of Morris's blog entries.  Nothing serious about it whatsoever.

PLEASE go back to the top of the thread and read my original post CAREFULLY, paying especially close attention to the TITLE and the first and last lines.

Everybody laugh a little!!

Blessings,

Jim D.

Yeah, yeah you wanted to make me think of the Evelyn Wood Speed Speech course for sleazy attorneys and salesmen. [My apologies in advance to all individuals in the before mentioned professions who have been maligned with forethought in attempted humor]

Or the post for that matter, it is very clear...
