Hi there,

I have a very new Dell Inspiron.  It has two graphics devices

  • Intel Graphics 620
  • AMD Radeon R7 M440

For sometime I was unable to play videos.  But have traced it down to an issue with the video cards.  Namely, when I disable the AMD adaptor in device manager, videos play (as it is loading up through the Intel graphics.

However, when both are enabled, Proclaim loads through the AMD adaptor and videos fail to play.

This is my work laptop, not the computer powering our service presentations.

Is there a way to fix this so I don't have to disable the AMD adaptor each time I want to use proclaim?

I'd imagine you would rather use the dedicated card (AMD) over Intel.  Are your video drivers up to date?

Also, laptops do weird things like defaulting to the on-board graphics to save energy/power.  You may need to configure the settings so that the AMD card drives Proclaim and not Intel.  See the attached image

If this doesn't work, let me know and I can reach out to you with a phone call and we check some other settings.
