Is there indexing happening (for the Atlas tool) even if there is no blue indicator? My mac does not show it is indexing but the fans are running high.......still no Atlas tool (grayed out)  after restarting several times

Well, it is working, and it seems to be faster and better than the earlier version. The time is 8 AM GMT+3 on 3rd April 2018

Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 8.1

Mine is still not working.  I have opened and closed Logos several times and tried to force an update of resources, but even after leaving it over night, it is still grayed out and says that the tool is unavailable upon hovering over it in the tools menu.

Disclaimer:  I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication.  If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.

To immediately update to the current stable version enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

Note: As announced in this forum post, we have dropped support for macOS 10.10. Logos 7.14 will only install on macOS 10.11 and above.

Disappointed with the speed of the new atlas. Used to be able to go make myself a cup of coffee while the map loaded. No such luxury this time. Stick out tongue

After leaving mine overnight the "Atlas" tool is no longer grayed out. However it will not load, I briefly see the menu on the left but then it disappears and the screen is blank. If I turn off the internet and try to load the tool the tool opens and the menu's stay but it is unusable.

And I don't want to jump the gun here, but if this enhancement/update to the Atlas tool is going to require us to switch back and forth between desktop software and the Web App or even "Verbum/Logos Now" I would not consider that much of an upgrade.  It seems that changes such as this will slowly force us to shift from a PC or Mac based package to an online version or a subscription version.  And after spending thousands on a PC/Mac package, I wouldn't want to have to start paying for resources I previously had already paid for.

Or maybe it's just a glitch in the update!

Okay - I guess I did jump the gun - it was only a glitch - sorry :-(

After restarting a few times and Logos quitting unexpectedly, now the Atlas tool is back for me in the desktop app and it looks great! Thank you to everyone on the Faithlife team that has been working to make this happen!

Is this still not showing up? Depending on your internet connect speed it can take some time during the initial set up of the new Atlas Tool.

Hi Philana, thanks for your concern. No, it is not. I have restarted several times, let it sit overnight. Restarted the computer several times. I see the left column for a brief moment then it disappears (?)

This looks like something else going on. Can you click on the link in my post signature titled Diagnostic Logging and follow the instructions there to reproduce the issue. Then zip the log folder an upload them here. This will help us in diagnosing the problem.

Logging has always confused me. At some point I downloaded a "Logging Utility" and I think I used it right. I hit "sample" and the file below is what it gave me. Let me know if I did it wrong.

Can you please enable logging (using the instructions in my post signature) reproduce the issue and upload the logs in a zip folder. This will help us see what else is going on.

Mike,

This didn't grab your logs. Did you grab the sample while the app was running and with the Atlas Tool (that is broken) still open? If you could try again and upload your logs it would be appreciated.
