This kind of heads up is much appreciated since Logos 4 is being delivered in bits, the feature set growing with each release.  Thanks.

Thanks again, Mark. That's terrific! I've added a link to the wiki.

I don't believe F7 to bring up the quick text comparison window is new in 4.0c, by the way. I think that's been around for a while, perhaps even as far back as 4.0.

Also, you are currently able to search for all your highlighting in 4.0c, using the wildcard character (*). It's pretty slow (takes up to an hour in my library), but it works if you're desperate. I'm hoping they optimize this in a future release so it'll be more usable. It's probably just as well that you told people it can't be done, so there won't be too many frustrated bug reports about how slow it is. Logos knows that already! :-)  But this is a feature I've been wanting for a while, so I'm glad I can at least let it run while I'm doing something else.

Rosie I have tried this quite a few times and while slow, the results do not seem correct in any stretch of the imagination!  If I have 3 yellow highlighted sections in a resource for example and search on * in that resource, I do not get anything close to 3 back - in fact I cannot figure out what the result is.  Maybe you have had better luck than I...

Mark, this video is great. Thank you so much!

Interestingly the "F7" trick works for me and I am still on 4.0b -- and that b ain't for beta,Or beeta as you say Big Smile. It even works when hovering over a reference. BUT I never knew about it until I watched your video. I have been suggesting to Logos for years that they create some way to be able to see multiple versions when hovering over a reference! This is SO helpful! To me this is as important a feature as the passage lists!

Again, that you so much!

I find that the hit counts are way exaggerated. It seems to count all the words that are highlighted in each article, and tells you that's how many hits it found. It also counts the words inside the footnotes if your highlighting happens to span across some footnote reference marks, which is bogus. But at least it finds all my highlights, which is all I'm interested in. I don't care whether the hit count at the top is accurate so much, though I will report that as a bug.

Actually, I just played with this a bit more and you're right. It doesn't report every bit of highlighting, just the first one in each "article". I will report that it's not working very well. I guess I hadn't noticed this yet because I mostly rely on this feature to find which books I have any highlighting in (for which it does seem to do the trick) and then I can go from highlight to highlight within the book using the Next arrow with Highlight selected from the dropdown instead of Article.

Mark, Greatly appreciated your latest video demonstrating new features in Logos 4.0c. 2 Questions. 1. In the “Search” dialog, when a list (finds) appears, your screen image shows an icon to the left of each resource (see video at 9:33ff). I have not seen this feature. Is there a way to turn it on (or is it an upcoming feature)?
2. Also, when you demonstrate the F7 feature, typically 4 Bibles appear in the ribbon. Once, 5 appeared. I have only seen 3. Is there a way to govern how many appear (I learned how to determine which ones appear and in what order)?

Thanks for the update and research Rosie!  I do wish this work would as simply as other searches - return very quickly, just say "x occurrences" of whatever highlight I was searching for, and then let me scroll through them like other search results.  Maybe soon!

Mark, the video for 4.0c was GREAT! Thank you for that, I learned a couple things as I suspected I might. Keep up the excellent work!

Tim Deahl:

This feature has been there since the beginning. The icon appears when you sort results by book. The sort feature is at the top of the "Library results" section. Depending on your search, you may have sections headed "My Content" and "New Resources". Scroll past or minimise them to get to "Library results".

As far as I am aware, Logos decides on the basis on how much space there is to display the verses. Probably when you had five, it was a very short verse! Also, of course if you have prioritised a New Testament only bible (like LEB or NA27), you may get one less version showing for Old Testament verses.
