This would have been a great day to have a deal on books related to Israel, as Israel celebrates her 70th birthday today!
I think you got your math wrong. Last time I checked Israel became a nation way before 70 years ago (According to the Bible, of course) 😜 👍😁👌
Still time for a deal as Chabad.org shows Fri 14 May 2018 (starts at sundown today) as 70th anniversary of 5 Iyar proclaimation for State of Israel => https://www.chabad.org/calendar/view/day.asp?tdate=4/20/2018
Keep Smiling [:)]
If the State of Israel has a Logos account, they might receive a $20 birthday coupon to celebrate the occasion.
+1 ROFL
I read an article early this morning (19th) telling me that there will be 2 celebrations. One now in April, and again in May. The article said that Israel uses 2 calendars. I've since deleted the article and cannot find it at the moment. But a similar statement was found at http://en.sino-israel.org/irc/the-lunar-calendar-of-israel-and-the-jewish-people/ "Jews today make use of two calendars – the modern Western calendar and the traditional Jewish calendar. While the Western calendar is followed for all secular and civil purposes, the Jewish calendar is used for religious purposes, such as the marking of Jewish holidays."
...The Times of Israel mentioned "an all-night beach party stretching along 70 kilometers (some 43.5 miles), from Tiberias to Eilat.” wow!
But I like your thinking!

Well, I am in Israel right now...I saw the fireworks last night...and the "airshow" today...so I guess I am going along with what most of the nation is doing right now! [:D]

A "beach-party" from Tiberias to Eilat ... uh, geography?
Plenty of celebrations though!! Maybe the newspaper would benefit from a Logos Atlas subscription...
