The SESB version of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia available in Logos says it is the "5th corrected edition, prepared by A. Schenker 1997." Since the Logos edition is missing the introductory/prefatory material, can anyone who has the print equivalent tell me anything about the nature or extent of the "corrected" text of the 5th edition as opposed to the 4th? So far the only thing I have found is a vague statement on Wikipedia that says, "The fifth reprint of the BHS was revised and redistributed in 1997." The reason I am asking is to ascertain the level of difference between a print edition published before 1997 vs. after 1997. Used copies of the full-sized edition prior to 1997 seem to be available for considerably less than those after that date, and I would like to know if the "corrected" material is worth the price difference. Thanks!
