Earlier today I gave a very scathing and unappreciative review/post about these forums that I love in the "Logos 4" forum under the "Popeye" discussion. I am not making an excuse but I have a medical problem that sometimes interferes with my rational thinking. I know that actually does sound like an excuse but I am not using it because God has helped me out a lot with this situation and I was clearly against his will of charity when I posted. I hoped it would not sound bad, but I am sure it did at least for some people.

Not only do I want to apologize to everyone here, I especially want to apologize to Todd Phillips. He was courteous enough to respond to my post. Todd, with as much of God's love that I can possibly have, I truly ask your forgiveness and hope that you will not hold it against me. "My mind is right" tonight and I am realizing that what I said was not Christ like, even though it was truly written in love, sometimes things are best left unsaid and this was obviously one of them.

In the post I could only list maybe three things that I dislike about the forums and absolutely no dislikes about the program, yet tonight I could very honestly go through the posts and probably list well over one hundred things that have helped me with Logos that I probably would have never learned on my own.

These forums and everyone's generosity in helping the less knowledgeable, such as me, is truly amazing and the wiki contributors...  well, I could never tell you how much you have helped me. You don't have to do what you do, but your love for the program and God, allows you to demonstrate an unselfish kindness for your brothers and sisters.

Once again, I apologize with deep sympathy, regret and confess my sin before all of you, begging forgiveness and hopefully my ignorance earlier be ignored.

I wish you cold truly see my sorrow, my heart truly is burdened. I will continue to learn from these forums and when I hopefully learn more as I grow as a user of the program and a child of God, I too will be able to help others such as the regular experts here.

In Jesus' name I pray for your forgiveness.

Rick

I wouldn't let it get to you brother.  Everyone on this forum has said something they wished they hadn't.  It's the nature of these forums. Some people get so heated about Logos.  It is actually comically, because in the scope of life, it doesn't really matter.

I accept your apology, Rick, but please know that I didn't any offense at anything you said to me. If fact, I found your post to be more courteous than most for a "venting" post. Smile

In Christ,

Todd

Peace to you, Rick!

In Jesus' Holy Name, I rejoice with you about this Word from the Lord (Psalm 103)

Yours in Christ,            ..............       Mel         *smile*

Bless the Lord, O My Soul

103

Of David.

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and all that is within me,

bless his holy name!

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, ,

and forget not all his benefits

3 who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

5 who satisfies you with good

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord works righteousness

and justice for all who are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,

his acts to the people of Israel.

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,

slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

9 He will not always chide,

nor will he keep his anger forever.

10 He does not deal with us according to our sins,

nor repay us according to our iniquities.

>>11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; <<

12 as far as the east is from the west,

so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

13 As a father shows compassion to his children,

so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

14 For he knows our frame;

he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;

he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,

and its place knows it no more.

17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to children’s children,

18 to those who keep his covenant

and remember to do his commandments.

19 The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,

and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, O you his angels,

you mighty ones who do his word,

obeying the voice of his word!

21 Bless the Lord, all his hosts,

his ministers, who do his will!

22 Bless the Lord, all his works,

in all places of his dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

Rick,

I just signed into the forum and have no idea what transpired in your earlier posts; however, what you've posted now is one of the most moving, heartfelt, loving and Christlike contributions I've seen on any site. You wonderful confession, and request for forgiveness, provides an excellent example for the Church Universal. We'd have much more power if we could love each other enough to admit our faults and ask for forgiveness. In spite of how you might have felt today, know that you are indeed a very special, wonderful and powerful man of God and I praise God for you.

I look forward to learning more about the Logos software along with you in the forums!

Be blessed, my brother, be blessed!

Love,

Christina

Rick:

Though I am a fairly regular user of the forums, I had not read your post.  I expect that may be true of many here.  In fact, I am tempted to go back and read it - but I will not.

You, like all of us, are a broken person, in need, as we all are, of God's grace.  You have demonstrated that grace today. May we all be able to demonstrate that grace in our lives.

Blessings,
Floyd

Hey Rick -

Did not see the "offending" post, but let me remind you that Jesus went to the cross for all of us; you in included, brother.

I said something from the pulpit (technically a music stand but you know what I mean) recently that was not a good thing at all and I regret it deeply. I received much grace and forgiveness from my church family. Not everyone, but a huge majority of them.

So from someone that has recently received grace to someone that needs it right now, forgiveness is the name of the game in the Body of Christ!

Cheer up and thank God. You are loved and forgiven in Jesus' name.

I didn't read the offending post either, but I want to commend you for the repentance. It is a proper and godly response. Go in grace.

Rick,

No problems brother..we are all in need of the same thing...forgiveness.

You are among brothers and sisters in Christ here...

We can move on from here...as we've all been where you are now...

God bless you and may God alleviate your symptoms daily.

If I read your original post, it did not strike me as being nasty enough to remember. However, this apology is so gracious that I will definitely remember it. Very well spoken indeed Yes

Thank you every one of you for your heart warming responses. Big Smile

Your forgiveness is truly a burden off of my shoulders and heart. I now feel that I won't be an outsider by posting again. It is really easy to burn your bridges when people don't know you, but your responses were overwhelming!

Logos employees and selected moderators, I know I accidentally left you out of the apology, but rest assured, you are included in it!!

Thank you and God bless, back to learning with an awesome program.
