Logos has four syriac resources. And if you're not so syr-ious and don't know syriac, it can be tedious.

But lo and behold! The right-click on George Kiraz' NT shows the lemma, morph and gloss. Whoo-hoo. Probably secretly added way back.

So here's the available:

Leiden: lemma and morph; no gloss

Antioch: zippo

Kiraz: lemma, morph, and gloss

Old Syrian Codex (2): zippo

Of course, for the zippos, you still have the Syriac Analytical which was NT based, but often works in the OT.

Added:

Now for you yawning syriac'ers, your challenge: Mat 3:7. Were the pharisees and saducees there to be baptized (and then presumably refused by viper-man)?

Thanks a lot!

I found that I have Kiraz and it works! A treasure buried in my library and I didn't know it!

Could you add live links to the resources. I have Leiden Peshitta in my wish list but I could not figure out what zippo is in this context.

In my world Zippo is this one: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_8810

Zippo ... nada ... all she wrote ... mean 'nothing'.  I think zippo comes from zero, maybe.

My fault!  This is an international confabulation (forum).

Leiden should be in your library. The Old Testament!  Save up. It's a great cross-language evaluator, relative to the LXX. There's not many, unlike the NT.

Here's the available (Logos.com added):

Leiden: lemma and morph; no gloss
https://www.logos.com/product/4642/the-leiden-peshitta

Antioch: none
Logos.com no longer available? GorgiasPress disappeared.

Kiraz: lemma, morph, and gloss
https://www.logos.com/product/1805/the-peshitta

Old Syrian Codex (2): none
https://www.logos.com/product/1799/old-syrian-gospels-codex-curetonianus
https://www.logos.com/product/1800/old-syrian-gospels-codex-sinaiticus
or
https://www.logos.com/product/144301/textual-variants-collection

Of course, for the those needing more, you still have the Syriac Analytical which was NT based, but often works in the OT.

I think syriac is the winner for the most Logos.com expensive ($250+ per volume for some).

Just Adding:

In addition to Leiden's apparatus, there's two a bit older apparatus that are interesting (and affordable):

https://www.logos.com/product/29956/a-critical-examination-of-the-peshitta-version-of-the-book-of-ezra

https://www.logos.com/product/38967/an-apparatus-criticus-to-chronicles-in-the-peshitta-version-with-a-discussion-of-the-value-of-the-codex-ambrosianus

Plus:

https://www.logos.com/product/53248/the-witness-of-the-vulgate-peshitta-and-septuagint-to-the-text-of-zephaniah

The first two link like apparatus do (by verse). And are interesting since both involve the later hebrew (which my neural nets can easily detect, without access to the hebrew, oddly enough).

The Zephaniah book is one of the few that look across 4 languages. Older but affordable.

Thanks, Denise

Great find as usual. Am I right in observing that the Leiden Peshitta is parcel in the... for 72. 82?

I too have been considering this package and mine currently is only $26.21 which includes Leiden Peshitta. It is the only resource mentioned by Denise that I don't have so I think it's a pretty good deal considering the list price is $99.99. I just placed my order. Thanks for this discussion!

Hi Beloved

Good catch. I saw Leiden in there, but didn't note the great discount.

But. You're a high-value customer at FL. Us Libby-ans get it for $89.90 or such (not logged in).

I was tempted to pick up the Hittite volume and Pyramid Texts (plus cheapos) but I couldn't bear to battle the download. Sigh.

Thanks Denise and Beloved!

I took that expansion, it was cheaper and it had another resource in my wish list.
